You are probably looking at 3.75 microseconds per LED in series for the input signal plus a short refresh time between. That means if you still want a 60 fps refresh rate, you can have about 4400 LEDs in series. That means the maximum 16x9 resolution you can get is 45x80, which looks close to what this guy has. Sometimes the LEDs have to refresh faster and you can't put this many in series though.
@petermwheeler2 жыл бұрын
@@kelseykosheluk7507 If you follow the spec it's 1.15 microseconds for a zero and 1.3 microseconds for a one. So you need on average 29.4 microseconds per pixel plus a 50 microsecond RET code (held low). So you can just manage 33 FPS on 1024 leds (spec formally says 30 FPS on 1024).

This is awesome!!!! Just some thoughts, you could sleeve the bundles of cables coming out from the sides, such as, power wires in one bundle, video wires in another, etc, that way you have a very clean and professional look to the finished product. Also, assuming you sell the black backdrop, your logo/website kind of detracts from the image since it is inbetween each line of LEDs, have you considered only putting it on the top and bottom of the backdrop? I imagine you would get a "crisper" or at least less "noisy" image. Just some thoughts, love the finished product and the start to finish video!

I am wondering if it would have made more sense to put the LED strips on the black area between the white lines, which would have given it a surface to reflect off of instead of white text on a black background. How many Amps is this display pulling?
@dimagass78015 жыл бұрын
Brian L I was also wondering which would be a better background...it might not make too much of a difference though because the leds mostly are pointing directly outwards unlike a circular lightbulb that goes in 360 degrees this led go 180 degrees or maybe even less. I am not completely sure though. Also there is a possibility to get the actual strips in black or white so if it really did make a difference the could put it on the black part so there would be the white screen surface and the white led strip surface also.

The amazing thing is that in 5 years this will be so crude, in comparison to current technology, it will be laughed at because of the poor picture quality. In the not to distant future there will be individual LED's that can change to every color on Earth, have variable brightness control and be one half the size of a grain of sand. They will all be connected together at a microscopic level and a 1000 X 1000 foot display would be capable of producing picture quality a thousand times greater than anything today. It will be controlled by a brain box the size of a coin. Not long after that the LED will become obsolete, giving way to the single layer display. The single layer display will be a spray on liquid that dries on contact. Thinner than a single layer of spray paint we use today. The light emission properties will be at the level of single atoms. An area no thicker than a human hair will be able to produce thousands of colors across it's width. There will appear to be no division line between various colors. Each color will be as if it is blending seamlessly into the next with no border line. The resolution will be clearer than human eyes can detect. A screen, regardless of size, will become active by a single human hair wide laser. The picture will not appear to glow but rather it will look to the human eye as if everything on the screen is real. Applying multiple coats of this liquid display will give the images a perfect 3 dimensional effect that no one will be able to distinguish from reality. Only by physically reaching out and touching the image will anyone be able to tell it is a display screen. After that will come the screenless displays. One laser will be able to produce a beam that separates into thousands of tiny beams. The laser can be set to "Display" at any specific distance from the source and produce a flawless image indistinguishable from reality. Within the laser beam there will be solidification lasers that actually engage the molecules in the air at a set distance from the origination point and turn those molecules into color emission particles. It will be the ultimate hologram. Being used in enclosed areas the altered air molecules give off a slight odor. Within a day the air molecules will revert back to their original state. The final display than I can predict is not a display at all. It will be a tiny hair sized connection to the human brain. When turned on a person will see everything as if he is actually there. The person experiencing the effect will be able to walk around within the "Movie" as if he is actually there. A few more tiny hair sized connections will give a person the ability to not only see and hear images but also to feel, interact with, smell, taste and any other physical stimuli that occurs in real world experiences. The connections all occurring in the brain fooling the person into believing that the sensations are from external stimuli. To the person using this device, the movie he is watching cannot be distinguished from reality. The only way to tell that the experience is not real would be for the user to do something like slit his wrists. He will feel the cut, smell and see the blood, but after 30 minutes and still being alive the illusion would be discovered.

You are expecting all these things while you know that these will be invented by men only and he these guys are men too! Your dream will be fulfilled by others and you will pay from your own pocket for own dreams. This video may not pay that well to watch but it's worth trying. Trial and Error method works everywhere except stupid one's mind! And I'm glad that they didn't try on a stupid mind.

Could we theoretically suspend these micro LEDs in an ink medium? Get them to run off of bio current, produce images on flesh?
