EK-Vardar F3-120 RPM Sweep

EK-Vardar 120mm fan tested at various RPMs. Of three samples, all seem poorly balanced (it's easy to see the hub and blades wobble), resulting in an annoying resonance when coupled to any surface or mounted on a radiator.

Hello guys! These fans are double ball bearing, they vibrate, this is normally, because is not a premium ball bearing like rotors on the gentle typhoon by nidec servo japan. The ball bearing rotors are more silent at hi rpm's, but not all of them. They have a litle sound on rotor audible on low rpm's like a "hars, hars ..." beacause of the ball's in rotor. Some other may hear whistling sound from the blades because they are aggressive to obtain the hi pressure (this is normally to), thats why most of the fans these day are hybrid and use sleeve, fdg, hydraulic etc bearings and are more silent (a good sleeve bearing is very silent even on 1000 rpm). Double ball are better lifespan at both rpm, sleeve shorter lifespan, fluid, hydraulic, rifle are very longer but they have to work properly at hi rpm's.

I have the same buzzing sound with these at low RPMs (1100, 900) when mounted on a radiator. They came in a EKWB P360 kit, and were advertised as a good fan even by jayztwocents so I took the plunge. It is very disappointing and annoying, so I will probably be replacing them with something else.

I got the same fans in my L360 kit. And they have that motor/whining sound that drive me crazy! Have you bought new fans? If so what did you get?

+daftis FD Venturi HP-12 PWM. They are quite silent up to 900, and mildly noisy at around 1200. No noticable PWM buzz until 1300. I am satisfied with them.

Is that noise from the fan blade wobbling while it was on the table?

table made the most sound, jayz2cents had the same fan, hold it in the air so it didn't vibrate on his table. and it was around whisper quiet

These fans are real problem fans. I have done RMA 2-3 times and still getting the wobble sound. I'm through with these fans.
