ek4 exedy stage1 clutch and lightweight flywheel

Comparison between stock clutch/flywheel and an exedy stage1 clutch/light flywheel.
First 3 gears are noticeably different with the lightweight flywheel,
but after 160-170 km/h, it levels out, and the advantage of the lightweight flywheel is gone.
Car is '96 civic ek hatch ek4 b16a2 with basic IHE mods and some weight removed.

I like the bonus clip hehe. Bouncing off the rev limiter only helps if you've got a big turbo, running slicks, and don't have boost by gear or any other type of launch assist.

If i may so so myself, that is the near perfect amount of redline to bounced off the rev limit as he shifted almost in perfect unison to when tires finally caught ( to me it sounds and seems ) at the top of his first gear launched. You can tell by the indication of the almost no tire screech into his second gear and full acceleration with almost no "length of gear" lag for a bpu na car. Good show sir! Much respect👊✨💯

hey ty for the video in i see lighter flywheel gives better 0-100 but worst 100 - 200 as u can see in 0:42 the heavy flywheel takes the lead

yes it does, heavy flywheel catches up after about 100-120.

On a launch I prefer the lighter flywheel. But on highways I think the heavier flywheel better in the long run.

He was spinning, you can hear it. You can even watch the tachometer, it bounces with slight-wide pauses then you can see very evidently when the car begins to gain traction the needle on the tach holds more steadily at redline (shift). The only point I will raise you is that most of the time guys that are making the big power don’t even let it eat for that long before shifting, he may have held a bit to long but overall pretty solid driving
