Yup, no problem! Ha! Same thing happened to me on another car I had many years ago. I was so used to the roasted clutch grabbing so high because the clutch disk had no pad on it, that when it was changed, the first time I drove the car, totally stalled out haha. Obviously because the new disk actually had pad and the engagement point was like night and day lower.

This is very good. I had new clutch installed into my Ford F-150 and it feels sorta like I can almost feel the grooves in the clutch when I let the clutch out, because it's causes a dull vibration. It's not the kind of jumpy feel when a used clutch isn't mating properly. My new clutch was just installed TODAY, so I imagine as the clutch breaks in that vrrrrrrrrr kinda feeling when I let the clutch out will vanish (?).

You may want to jump on the forums and see if that's normal for the performance clutch you have. My video is geared towards the everyday person with a regular, non performance clutch. I would not be surprised if that's normal for your stage 3 clutch though. That thing has to have some serious grip compared to a regular clutch. It's not going to behave like a normal clutch in some aspects because it's made to be beat on and grab the crap out of your flywheel.

@@nukem384Sorry but you got the whole concept wrong, during Rev Matching you are basically doing the clutch job you are getting very close if not exactly at the required revs so the clutch doesn't have to slip as much to get the engine speed matched to the input shaft speed (transmission speed at given gear) So rev matching = if done correctly, longer lasting clutch Double clutching (With rev matching) longer lasting gearbox synchros, could cause some wear on the clutch linkage (cable or hydraulics) and maybd some wear on the pressure plate but good for the clutch disc

Not really. The clutch pad isn't made to be grinded against at high speed (burning the clutch). That's why lots of people like rev matching, that way the clutch and flywheel are going the same speed when engaged, which means less friction. Whereas brake pads are made to cause friction against the rotor to slow the car down. They are made of different materials too.
