I found this vintage Ekco radio at the De-Part-Mental store. The electronics and speaker are toast but the cabinet is lovely and ideal for a little Bluetooth restomod!

I cant get over how well the timber came up with a buffer its really good i look forward to seeing this project progress and how you put all the bits inside it. Id leave the scratches as they are

It's mad isn't it really. But then the wood was originally lacquered so in theory no reason why products for car lacquer wouldn't work on it too. So pleased I did do it, and yes totally agree with leaving the scratches - it is part of It's story and history 😀

I love how to simple design and function of a speaker has remained unchanged for decades. That wooden case polished up nicely too, looking forward to seeing the finished result
