The reason this episode killed me the most, out of the entire season, is that it really drives home the fact how tragic their lives are in the show's home timeline. Yes, despite a different key character being dead, everyone is coping in a much more productive and healthy way.

People are already theorizing that Jinx might be alive after all and just left Piltover and Zaun for good. I think it's possible but left open for us to debate for decades to come But however it is. Ekko got a bittersweet taste of how things could have been. And for him, love of his life is permanently gone. Jinx lived a miserable life, had her mental health ruined and most likely could never have a stable relationship. He desperately talked her out from suicide but she ended up dying in the end anyways. Sucks to be Ekko Arcane, why you do this to us? 😭

Caitlin is also dead in this one. She was killed in the explosion in the laboratory because there was no Jayce to save her. Yes, he's dead in both universes -- he froze to death as a child in the snow storm because Viktor was never there to save him.
