I think due to his own trauma Silco adopted a sort of "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger/survival of the fittest" slogan to life, so for Silco if you don't pick yourself up then your not worth it. The only one he actually attempts to help in his own way is Jinx and thats cause he relates to her on a very specific level.

@@thepackable Not really, zaun seeks power and he provides. im not saying his path is correct but at the same time he did not have much options too. meanwhile some people are indeed addicted and in misery, the majority are having better living standard. Ekko did great here but he can only supply such few, add numbers and his community ends up starving from lack of trade and resources that silco company provide. silco was a monster true, but his actions was bound and honestly... the only way that was avaliable to him.

There are less than 10 people in the entirety of lol that could compare or surpass his intellect and silco aint one of them. Combine that with the fact that he has demonstrated himself to be both an effective and well loved leader, despite his resistance working with smaller numbers and fighting an uphill battle. If he had a fraction of silco's resources and wasn't dealing with, ya know jinx and silcos people murdering his own he could do FAR more for zaun in ONE year than silco ever did and in fact that's more than likely what his storyline will be. I've said this before in another comment section "SIlco is a textbook example of in the pursuit of power, I lost myself along the way" I absolutely believe he originally wanted what was best for zaun during vanders time but after he gained sole control, it became about accumulating more power at the cost of the home he was trying to save. He's a great villian and a amazing character overall but he is not a great leader.

I've only realized how many people Jinx has killed just now. 5 Firelights, Mylo, Claggor, Vander, Silco, multiple enforcers and a few council members (assumed off the cliffhanger). Everyone will be onto her in Season 2 (or Season 3).

@@poloman3754 Jinx has the highest confirmed kill count of anyone in this show. It's actually a really funny way of showing just how being the protagonist can influence audience perception. Marcus is treated as an absolute monster who is the lowest of the low but objectively speaking jinx is far far worse than he ever was and is responsible for significantly more innocents being brutally murdered than him. I don't like his character...at all personally but it was interesting when I realized that.

Ekko is the most unique character in this entire show. His entire vibe is so...vibrant. I love how he uses mask with an owl face on it, representing love and wisdom, which is evident by his home. Another aspect of his I loved is his hourglass face paint. It's such a unique way of marking yourself out as a leader while also being able to disappear at a moments notice. He's created a whole style for himself while also staying true to the values he lived by in his younger days. He truly is the boy savior.

You can see a brief glimpse of that mask when enforcers came in and talked to Vander. Ekko's mask has a small gadget that allowed him to eavesdrop on the convo between Greyson and Vander.

The mural really shows who Ekko respected and loved the most. With Benzo, Vi, and Powder being the ones most illuminated and the light being focused on Vi and Powder; it pretty heartbreaking and tragic what happens to all of them.

This is the reunion Vi needed: not only her little brother is Alive, but he's continuing the work of Vander, saving kids, people whose lives Silco destroyed with drugs or actively killing them. And Ekko is fighting Silco actively too. We've seen in episode 4... we've seen Jinx killing in cold blood innocent firelights. The red haired girl she shoot in the back is being painted right now on the wall. After seeing this i'll never undestand people that think Silco is a good father, a godfather more like.

Ekko was forced to grow up way too soon. And yet despite his obvious demons, unlike Jinx, he learned to move forward. He still kept Vander’s dream of peace alive and created this city for the people to feel safe. He became the father of a new city all at such a young age. What a king.

True, that's why I feel so bad for both him and Vi. Their entire lives were destroyed or corrupted by Silco, which is best shown in Jinx. The moment when Vi and Ekko reunite and realise they can still trust each other is heartwarming. The bastard Silco creates the most traumatic night of all their lives and each of the three (Vi, Ekko, Powder/Jinx) was affected by it. Jinx became unable to move forward and dependent on Silco, who portrayed himself as the saviour and the rest of her family as the villains who left her. I'm not sure how to point this out to the Silco lovers out there: You can't morally present yourself as the saviour when you cause the crisis in the first place. I really hope that Vi, Ekko and Jinx/Powder will be able to come together again in some way and overcome the trauma and destruction of their family and bond that Silco has wrought.

Initially, Silco was going to kill Powder and Vi, but when found out that Vi “abandoned” Powder, it reminded when Vander abandoned him. If it wasn’t for that Judas enforcer (forgot his name), they’d both be dead, but at the same time he helped create Jinx.

I don't think so... I think everyone in this world have their innate nature they're born with. This show was genius at character development that it was able to depict that. It's insane lol But of course upbringing and life experiences matter, but Powder since childhood seemed to be self-focused and neurotic. Enforcers weren't there to help. Ekko then found this place and made the decision to give the victims of these circumstances a home. "You'd be surprised what you can pull off if your life depends on it"

I like how Ekko is shown with dreadlocks instead of mohawk haircut we see in LoL game. This hairstyle is natural for black people due to the way their hair are built. I always liked Ekko every since I first saw him in that Tru Damage music video. This show made him one of my favourite fictional characters of all time. His development from an optimistic, cheerful, creative kid to a battle hardened, resistance leading badass is so well done. It may have happened offscreen but the end result they showed us in this episode was more than enough. He's so cool.

I think it refers to ekko and jinx's childhood game in the flashbacks where you can notice young ekko with the same hourglass paint on his forehead. Maybe they were playing heroes and villains where ekko plays as the hero. Timeskip ekko probably took it to heart by saving victims of silco with the hourglass paint on his forehead

It was actually revealed in one of the interviews that there was an episode after episode three, where Ekko would start building his group and the first thing he did was he searched for powder and tried to save her but unfortunately there wasn't enough time for that in show and had to cut it off. Jinx's "The boy savior" was supposed to reference that scene, it is believed that something bad happened that made Ekko sure powder was gone

So shimmer did a few things. First, its a really frelling effective weapon. WIth it you can turn a group of Street Urchins into super soldiers like "snaps fingers" that. The next thing is monetary support. Shimmer isn't just in the undercity, its being shipped everywhere. With that capital he can invest in better weapons and better infrastructure to compete with Piltover. Finally, for some who can control their shimmer use or aren't genetic predisposed to reacting negatively, it makes them loyal to Silco cause he provides a service they need.

I love the detail that the firelight jinx killed when she thought it was vi at the beginning of the timeskip is being painted on the wall - she and ekko must have been very close because the people he was closest to are the biggest on the mural (benzo, powder, vi, and Vander in particular) the girl that died it painted quite large and multiple firelights died the day she did but his reaction to her death specifically was more emphasized than the others
