Same process for learning any language..pick a person then stick to them too many regional dialects if you follow too many tutors.. Also learn conversation language...don't waist time learning things people never actually say...my ex is russian and half the stuff I've learned over the years is never or rarely used..

Nah. Just make flashcards of full phrases then review them a bit and completely drop them. Spend most of your time getting comprehensible input. Repeat tomorrow, quick review and adding of phrases, then 80% of your time budget on input.
