Great comparison Daniel!!! Had the same worries about the functionality with the Ekster getting caught and cards sliding and also the push button - had something similar previously. I've had my XSTO for over a year now and love that it holds way more cards and is tough to withstand usual drops and scrapes but the more cards then the more fiddlesome it becomes to get to the desired card but there's always something with every wallet and it really depends on your preferences on use. I'm sticking with my XSTO thanks to your video. I loved it enough to repurchase for a second one. My priority is for it to house extra cards and less moving parts to break or wear out. Thanks again for a great video!!!

I have both I love both I prefer the xtso. The reason is the wallet is just one sold piece of metal. Nothing can break. This wallet could literally last 100s of years. Also you can hold a good bit of cash without making anyting thicker

I have the EKster with the silicone band and Air Tag compartment. I've had it and used for my EDC wallet for about 6 months. So far, its given me no problems. I carry 4 extra cards including my DL underneath the metal back plate and they have never shifted or moved around on me, while using or in my pocket. I noticed during your demo, you appear to have 6+ card, that plate is not meant to store that many cards. The fundamental purpose of it is maximizing minimalistic features. In addition, my folded bills never catch on my pockets or anything else. In addition, when I fan out the cards using the button, I have easy access to the exterior and interior cards. I think comparing these two types of card carriers is like comparing apples and oranges.

@WELYEK Жыл бұрын
@@ermal6157 Yes, it’s still working. My only concern right now is the silicone strap that holds the air tag has lost a little elasticity. And for some reason Ekster doesn’t sell them separately.

They both work well. I got used the Ekster mechanism so it’s not a problem for me switching back and forth. After spending some time with them, I really like the lighter weight on the XSTO. But I still have to dig to get to my cards vs a push button and grab. Which I find more effortless. It depends on what you like at the end of the day.
@jazzcat93633 жыл бұрын
I've had two Ekster wallets. The card release mechanism broke on both of them after just over a year of use. Now, this is when they first started producing wallets but it's hard for me to go back and spend that kind of money on them again.

Only one winner I’m afraid, I have several XSTO wallets and will never buy any other wallet again, it’s compact and very , very easy to use, cash is stored away and no clip or band is used which is another bonus, plus they have a lot of colours and you can personalise your wallet as well.

Appreciate the review. The Ekster Aluminum cardholder is probably the cleanest looking minimalist wallet I’ve ever seen. Super sleek and space gray is probably my favorite color for anything. Even still I ordered the Akeeni Xsto. Simply put I expect it to be far less fussy and I can almost guarantee the finish will be much more resistant to damage than other aluminum finishes.
