Hello Chinedu, thank you so much for your good work. I observed that the road you're analysing presently is too narrow and should not be regarded as a high way. It should rather be allowed to remain open and not have any form of demarcation in the middle otherwise the size will become a hazard to motorists. It's unfortunate that the government is not dreaming about the future. I leave it there

Chinedu, I know you will say build for the future, but you'd rather plan for the future and address the need of the present. This particular road doesn't carry so much traffic, it's a really lonely road. Even before it's expansion, the road is virtually empty all the time, not cos it's bad, but there so many other connecting roads. So this road is not narrow considering how empty it is, so it's not everything that will be made 6 lanes, the road is appropriate.

If Soludo can't do proper road dualisation on this long road, he should just leave it for the Federal Government or the next state government with a better plan. This is wasting scarce resources when govt will have to come back to expand this road in a few years and even start demolition because everywhere is already built up. Soludo is the chairman of Anambra vision 2070 but it's not showing in his workings and I really wonder on the content of that vision.

The size of the road is appropriate considering the traffic the road in question carries. Before this road will require expansion e go reach another 50 years, except something drastic and unusual happens.

I recommend that they put a central demarcation but it should be made to be narrow. The road is four lane road and should be demarcated, otherwise road users will not maintain their lane while driving, which is dangerous.

Good update by u chinedu. Honestly, chinedu,when i look at the marked side of this road and looking at the space for the road dualization,u will understand that its not early plan they are executing. What they mark is far bigger than actual what they are using ,even at amawbia stretch is the same thing.. I do ask myself whats the essence of marking peoples houses. Any way..What i observed is that the earlier plan was reduced. Ur observation about living creating barriers at the middle is super,they should forget that barrier at the middle,in other to make the road wide.

No need for demarcation just good markings is ok. Because that size is noy enough for comfortable dual carriage. I noticed fro the beginning that the dualization may seem to stop after the Secretariat. While the rest may be expanded

Nigerians don't obey laws and markings, so the markings will be as good as useless. A short, solid but thin demarcation will do

I want to believe that the local contractor has predetermined d dual narrow lanes for more profit or cheaper quotation before given the contract without prior proper communication to Gov Soludo, But Julius Beggar Const. Co always sticks to high standard rd construction nd specifications though with extra cost

From what I'm seeing this is still the same size of the formal one just that they cleared the little remaining area before the drainage , for me is not dualized they just put in place a befitting drainages but the widness is still same as the old one cus uga is my home town I thought it will be wider than this and the funniest thing is that how can you be constructing a road without a proper space for car park incase of any eventuality, honestly it's really sad the way our easterners construct roads compare to the ones we see here in Lagos.

But ....this is road is just 4 Lane dual carriageway,its not 6 Lane..its a normal 4 lane road of about 7 meters each.or 6 and something meters each.... For me its not bad,only if they can creat a wide service lane or walk lane after the drainage systems,it will be beutifull and ok.. But as its now,we must appreciate it as it's now cos half bread 🥪 is better than none. If this road can equipped with best roads cosmetics ,i bet u it will be the best road 🛣️ the state,cos its a like Boulevard not our regular high way. Thank u.

@Yangalife, it's true Governor is trying but his works lack innovation, why building federal road like street road? No bus stops, lots of sand have covered even the completed roads. The shoulders of the completed roads weren't tired. There's need for improvement.

@@chinwikeorachusi2551 please check Amansea Ufuma road and see that the shoulders were not tared, if it rains, they will wash off. Go and check what I said before countering my observation.
