This one of the best piano arrangements I have heard of A.G.Villodo's great tango. As an arrangement, it is magnificent! His playing of it is both impressive and inspiring. It completely captures many of the band and arrangements that popularized the piece in the mid 20th Century. His amazing command of a "slurred staccato" effect is a wonder to hear. His death is a loss to musicians everywhere.

Wonderful, beautiful interpretation of our tango, not exactly Buenos Aires style, but very nice indeed. From the lyrics of El choclo " Conjuro extraño de un amor hecho cadencia = strange spell of a love made cadence... salió del sórdido barrial buscando el cielo= left the sordid neighborhood looking for heaven ..." and so on , the lyrics of the El choclo is as good as the music, the music of a big city, love, soul, and good memories , after that the universal flood.
