El Chupacabra vs Mothman - Urban Legend Rap Battles

To anybody who stumbles across this video in the future: I have been informed by some of my Hispanic friends that there were several elements to my Chupacabra recording that could be considered racist or insensitive to some degree, including but not limited to the Pitbull Timber yell at the start of the first verse and the accent in general. I ran the project by several Hispanic people before uploading it and got no real pushback, but it's evident that it's probably not as harmless as I thought it was when making it. It goes without saying that I not only had no racist intentions in the making of this project but took several steps to ensure it wouldn't be seen as insensitive. The accent is purposely a blend of a lot of different accents and the Pitbull reference was genuinely just supposed to be a stupid Pitbull reference that I had no idea included Hispanic stereotypes. Regardless of if it was appropriate at the time and nobody told me or if the standards have changed, it appears as though it isn't anymore, and for that, I apologize. Accurately depicting characters and cultures has always been a value of mine when making battles and I will use this incident as a learning experience to re-evaluate how I handle characters like this going forward. I have zero future plans to do any accents while voice acting. Thank you all for watching.

Fun fact, not getting mad or anything-love the video and song, but “El Chupacabra” is the Mexican Myth, the alien one. The Chupacabra is the hairless dog, so in one sentence, “Call me just Chupacabra, cause I gave you this El!” Chupacabra managed to offend Mothman and his cousin 😂. You should do more Urban Legend rap battles though! Also smart to use hints like-“your too damn Pleasant” for Point Pleasant and the Silver Bridge :)
