I have one, used to play it in church,it was the most soothing instrument that I have ever heard, except ept for the saw. That one is haunting, but I love the Zither!!! ❤

When I was six years old I found one of these in the trash. It was exactly the same as this one to my memory. I was playing with it in the garage and figured out how to play the first bars of America the beautiful and was totally amazed. My mother did not share my enthusiasm and it mysteriously disappeared the next day. After enlisting in the navy I bought a cheap guitar at the navy exchange. To this day I feel a great sadness that I was not able to keep that original friendship alive.

Have you checked around for an auto harp on eBay or the like?

@@CharlieBrn This is not an auto-harp, but a zither. Ebay usually has them for sale. If you watch and are careful in looking at the pictures for damage, you may, over time, fine an old one in great shape at a reasonable price. Auto-harps are great fun, but a whole different critter.
