They were all good but how many feel Luther favored Johnny Gill’s vocals?
@marcosmith4764 Жыл бұрын
Luther loved them all, respectively. Johnny just had more of a connection with Luther, as in he made it very known publicly that Luther was his mentor and inspiration, which is amazing that he got to actually have that relationship with his idol. Everyone knows how serious Luther Vandross and specific he is about vocals and actually doing a live performance, so Johnny just wanted to actually tribute Luther, one for the books. Johnny Gill is a very aggressive performer and that’s not a bad thing, it’s just that with someone who shares the stage with him.. that may be a bit passive or know how to work the stage like that will look lackluster. Johnny has the IT factor, the stuff you can’t teach. He knows what/how to do everything in any given moment, no matter what happens. Johnny was very much in charge of the boys, all those little inflections and ad libs he added.. and tbh.. 😂 I don’t think he actually stayed in position like they rehearsed. All of the guys song well though all jokes aside.
@reinajalana8 ай бұрын
@@marcosmith4764I also think they are more vocally alike than Debarge and Latimore. I could easily see Luther and Johnny singing each other's songs and it not being a huge difference. Annnnd... I'm not sure how much they thought about it, but Luther was known to be in the closet, and I and have others have long suspected Johnny to be as well. So, just seemed they both could relate on a lot of things! They even look alike!

Hey.👋 I personally LOVE Whitney Houston's or "NIPS" ABILITY TO BRING THE HOUSE DOWN BUT😳🤔! LET'S NIT GET DISRESPECTFUL OR TOO FREAKIN STARSTRUCK ✨ WITH YOUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS. I REFUSE TO COMPARE "TO DISPUTE" WITH YOU BECAUSE I PERSONALLY BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE "EITHER GRAVELY MISINFORMED IN ADDITION TO BEING GROTESQUELY INAPPRECIATIVE" OF THE OTHER ARTIST WHO WERE HOLDING IT DOWN BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER WHITNEY HOUSTON'S UNTIMELY DEMISE. LET'S NOT START VOCALIZING OUR ALLEGIANCE OR PREFERENCES FOR "OUR OTHER ARTISTS" BY DISMISSING OR DISCOUNTING OTHER "GREATS" IN THE PROCESS. YES. WHITNEY HOUSTON'S VOICE AND VOCAL PROWESS WAS "ONLY WHITNEY'S" BUT THE GENRE DIDN'T LURE HER "GOD GIVEN" TALENTS OUT OF CHURCH BECAUSE IT WAS WEAK, UNFORBODING AND HAVE NOT TO "INSPIRE" HER IN RETURN. MEANING. THERE WEREN'T MANY THAT COULD SHARE TO STAGE WITH WHITNEY HOUSTON IN AN HONORED VOCAL GROUP'S PRESENTATION "STRICTLY ON TALENT" BUT NOT "A WHOLE BUNCH OF THEM" DEPENDING ON THE "MUSICAL AND VOCAL ARRANGEMENTS". BUT! NO ONE? I APPRECIATE YOUR ENTHUSIASM BUT AND AGAIN "EITHER VERY, VERY, VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND MISINFORMED OR JUST ANOTHER ERRANT "RANT" FROM A PSYCHO-SOCIAL, MISINFORMED MUSICAL STUPER-STAN. YOU CAN ALWAYS APOLOGIZE LATER IN YOUR "GENERATIONAL, MUSICAL EDUCATION AND HISTORY".

This is was just incredible. Kenny should do a cover album of Luther’s best. But all three gentlemen should do an album together! Incredible 🔥🔥🔥🔥
