If you look you can see he laid out the pipe tops like piano keys white keys in bottom row, black keys in top row. He must have tuned each pipe to the specific note like a piano. Very clever. He is so talented.

@Alex Hefner A tubulum PVC pipe instrument is a type of percussion instrument that consists of PVC pipes of different lengths and diameters, arranged in a frame and played by hitting the open ends with the palms of the hands. The pipes produce different pitches depending on their length and the speed of sound in the air inside them. The tubulum is also known as a thongophone, a pipeharp, or a PVC xylophone1 The tubulum works by creating standing waves in the air columns inside the pipes. When the open end of a pipe is struck, a pulse of air travels down the pipe and reflects back from the closed end. The reflected pulse interferes with the incoming pulse, creating a pattern of high and low pressure regions along the pipe. The frequency of the sound produced by the pipe is determined by the length of the pipe and the speed of sound in the air. The longer the pipe, the lower the frequency and the deeper the sound. The shorter the pipe, the higher the frequency and the higher the sound

If you like instruments like that, check out Blue Man Group. They made a career making music with unusual instruments, many made out of PVC pipes. Some good examples of their music include "Drumbone", "I Feel Love" (feat Venus Hum - Cover of Donna Summer song), "The Current" (feat Gavin Rosdale of Bush), or "Baba O'Riley" (cover of The Who song).

Well, you might want to look through some Blue Man Group videos. They pretty much seem to have gotten their start by the 3 lead performers stopping by their local hardware big box store and picking up a bunch of PVC, as well as barrls, tras cans, etc, they performing music with them. Once you've seen a few of their videos, add in to that search Venus Hum to be blown further away. Love El Estepario too.

ok i have a very obscure song i want you to react to. Ive watched your reacts for a long time and think i have fun a gem that you might like. Its on of those love it or hate it songs. The song is called Teaddybears STHLM - punkrocker feat iggy pop. thats the ''rock version of the song. Teaddybears STHLM ( who made the song ) also have made a hiphop version called Thomas Rusiak Feat Teaddybears STHLM - Hiphopper. A dual react perhaps, but for sure you wanna hear the Iggy pop version.

dawg, its pvc piping, and yes he probably built it himself, theres design docs out there that describe how to put it together pvc is rather customizable in its thickness and length so building it like that isn't a difficult process, just a tedious one

*ALEX!!!!* my man, u have been a Slipknot fan for such a long time, and yet u NEVER LISTENED TO "THE BLISTER EXISTS"??? its some of Joey's BEST DRUMMING and some of Slipknot best work! don't sleep on this one plz (please dont do the music video, do the audio is way better) is probably their most headbanger song also do "THREE NIL" probably the most underrated song from the same album one of their best and most underrated songs overall that doesn't get enough love, also they're from 2004!!! 19 years ago! Some of their earlier work, the instrumental is amazing and Corey sounds really young which I rly like, not trying to compare this "new" Slipknot from nowadays to the old Slipknot but like the old Slipknot just hits different, these 2 songs are SO headbanger! Like super headbanger! Break yo neck listening to them (not literally) Also COME BACK WITH SYSTEM OF A DOWN Listen to System a down self titled songs: MIND and War?(audio, not music videos) PLEASE

It's kinda like a pipe organ. Organs shoot air through the different length pipes to make a noise. This is essentially the same but hitting air back down through it

The instrument is pretty simple, in an arithmetical way. It's math, the length of the pipes each correspond to a chromatic note...just like a Bb baritone horn (a length of pipe, eh?) is roughly 108"...so, there is a definite relationship in length of pipe to pitch produced. Do the math, LOL...and Blue Man group has been using variations on this instrument for years...

Sounds too complicated. he probably added a single tube, tuned up and moved on. Probably using some piano tuning device/app. He just followed a pianos arragment, so it makes sense he used "piano" stuff to build the thing.. that is my impression anyway.
