Another great video 👌🏻 Would love to see builds for our companions that tag along. It's really annoying that the companions overlap alot of these skills and you can't just make another one so you're stuck with how you build them. Would help a lot to see how companions could ideally be built to synergize with these builds

I know this is kind of a weird build, but I have a high charisma, high leadership brawler as the main character. Turn out that that charisma as one of the recommended attributes for brawling makes sense to me now, brawling gets strike chance like crazy, with only 8 AP and flurry of blows I can get around 2 thundering strikes in a turn. It's not crazy strong yet, I need a better weapon, but I can easily stun lock people, the aura is large enough to still pretty much work and I can organize myself to steal the boss kill with the brawler so everyone gets the buff. It's kinda janky to have to deal with maximum aura range and positioning your people, but I have a team with submachinegun and flame thrower, even if someone pops out of the aura, it's usually the sniper.

Got a power gauntlet and upped my AP to 9 - the character can fill the strike gauge 3 in 3 hits, I just counted. It's a lot stronger with a better weapon.

@@MarvellousMorbing For this build I pretty much focused on strength, charisma and coordination. I still let the 2 points sit on everything else. Awareness is weak since you only get the extra hit chance, speed is good, but you get a free 0.5 from reaching 10 in brawling and intelligence is also good but you get crazy high bonuses to crit chance and damage from combo - plus you can mod the weapon for extra crit chance (my power fist got a base crit chance of 19.5 from mod and base alone). Luck would be the attribute I'd max out after those 3. But I focused on strength and charisma, but started with some extra coordination to be able to do more in the beginning. Background is lethal weapon and quirk is medical marvel - but I don't really advice you to actually get medical marvel anymore. There is a bug that if you die outside of combat with a medical marvel character, he can't be revived unless you use one of those nitro items that are really rare and ress the whole team. I died once after fighting those self exploding poisonous drools and had to reload an old save because It got stuck dead. For skills, I focused brawler first, almost all points into brawler to rush that level 10 perk as soon as possible - and it's quite nice that the brawling books are easy to get near colorado springs (I even got a second book inside one of those map bunker encounter - managed to max brawler around level 8). I maxed out charisma a bit before maxing strength but leadership was a fair bit later. Equipped the heaviest armor and used the strike skill as often as it's filled, it refills in 3 normal hits (costing 1 ap each). I avoided the sawblade cestus brawling weapon - it's the only one with a base ap cost for attack of 3 instead of 2, making it the slowest weapon even with the last perk.

Ah i been googling all over for a pistol leadership build now to copy paste your hard work! Much appreciated! I thought also people are underestimating luck but this is my first time playing any wasteland type game. Coordination is the one that confuses me some people swear you should max it out on character creation screen but others do not.

You can go mechanic instead of animal whisperer as well and deploy a shit ton of turrets, healing devices and sawhounds on the battlefield. Costs a pretty penny but brings a lot of power to your squad

Hey, i like that. Good idea. Im running small guns, hardass, and leadership. Splitting into a fourth might be rough, but start throwing them in there. Im at lvl 22 right now, max int, max luck max cha. Been dumping into speed, but looks like i need to switch to str.

Instead of Animal whisper and Sniper, I took explosives, it's so good to quick draw RPG's or multi kill with bombs. For the mark target I already have a sniper and animal whisper on a support character. Oh and definitely explodomaniac and circus freak are so good.

@@SingleTrack66 Pretty sure. The Leadership buff only applies to your allies and you can still put points in it with the quirk. Haven't noticed any issues so far.

So you still apply the leadership buff to the other chrs. And can use the skills detailed in the video. It’s probably a no brainier to use it then. 👍🏻

I been messing with this build my self. Nice catch on using mark target. Didn't think of that. I have been using medical marvel perk... Its buggy. Hate it. If you go down in combat, you will auto revive but you cant activate anything until you transition to another location. If you bleed out after combat, you are screwed. You have to travel all the way to a doctor or use a nitro booster.

Hey bro, thanx for all your videos on dedicated builds. It's been very fun using these. But I do have one gripe, I cant use these effeciantly together. They all seem like builds that do not compliment eachother. Many of them posses the first aid skill, this is great, but not when my brawler, mad scientist and my leader all have dedicated first aid roles. Please do a video on a specialised team. I'm having trouble working around this and trying to make these guys work together, they do very well in combat but I leave out so much of the game by not passing certain checks.

Just ditch weapon and armor mod on Mad Scientist for Hard Ass and Kiss Ass for social checks. Create special character for modding at HQ. I am running this one with, mad scientist, pyro and sniper. Works great. Gonna do full party build soon.

I have gone the route of mad scientist having lockpicking and mechanics, but I've decided that the brawler should have sneaky shit and lockpicking because that can be very useful for finding paths and having a better vantage before combat. So the mad scientist will have to change the lockpicking for something else. I know kwon has sneaky shit but I'm going to ditch kwon and Lucia when I can. I'm also doing a bit of role playing with this so it's difficult to balance practicality and role playing. If you do all content you should have enough points to get some more skills for the build. On my playthrough on arrival at Yuma County my leader was level 31 and the rest of the team level 27. So these extra 7-11 levels over your level 20 El General build should give some flexibility.

Does Luck have a chance to work per bullet in a multi-firing gun? Otherwise, I think there's a little confirmation bias happening, where you remember all of the times you see it working, while not really counting the majority where it does not. Not going to claim it's a worthless stat (it's good for maximizing damage after your other primary stats are filled), but I'd argue you would see a similar progression through the game on SJ without anything but the default value, and that Coordination, Awareness, Strength and Awareness are much more beneficial to invest in first. I do think that your recommendation for balanced stats early on is good, although you can get away with focusing on just Charisma and Coordination if you're careful.

You need high Awareness if you're using ranged weapons otherwise your damage output will be rather low

@@rpgdivision You can disagree, but you even say you only went into animal whisperer because nobody else in the party dealt with them. If you look at this build as part of a team, then you're going with a charisma based build so leadership should be the focal point. You pretty much made a beast master build and named it El General.

@@BossTripp1 And I would go for it again. I said animal whisperer is optional, not waste. I find it very useful on any party member. If i was to build Beastmaster, which i already played around with, it would end up being very similar to this.
