Working in finance opened my eyes to how big of a financial hub El Paso is. So many companies hold regional headquarters there. Most Vanguard 401(k) and IRA rollover checks go there

I was born in El Paso, and I can definitely say that its been a very nice and memorable city my whole life, I live in the Northeast but I had visited Downtown many times, Very nice place, the Architecture is stunning and the way it looks is super fascinating, The way that El Paso in Downtown looks now and elsewhere has changed a lot since at least 2012, When I was younger the tallest building was Wells Fargo, the Old City hall was separate from the Court Building and Blue Flame wasn't renovated yet, A lot has changed. But either way for me it will always remain my home, Gives off that vibe of the "Big City" and a "Small Town" so it feels like you know a lot of people, Really amazing city.

I grew up in El Paso in the 60’and 70’s my family owned three restaurants we knew everyone everybody knew us you just passed one location on mesa street the other one was right next to the Plaza theater i can’t remember the name of the street the third one was on but it was a great place to grow up if I had it to do over again I wouldn’t change a thing.

The only Texas city in the mountain time zone and a city with lots of diverse culture and lots to do not to mention their downtown is pretty nice

El Paso is such a cool and unique city. I almost moved there but it was too far from family

It's nice but it's too far from Anywhere! Very remote city out there. I've lived in Dallas my whole life and never even been there it's so far away. It's farther than driving from Dallas to my cousin's house in Colorado. Also it's farther west than than their house in Colorado. Weird to think about that, how big Texas is.

@@trevorjameson3213 yes ive only driven through a couple times but never stayed there. it has low cost of living but not the best job market, you can get really cheap nice houses there though. the mountains are beautiful but there's not a lot of green or water immediately nearby

Like many center cities, it's starting to make a comeback, but still has some ways to go. There are many empty storefronts; a remnant of what downtown used to be, but some are getting new tenants.

At 15:21, are those tv and radio antennas at the top of that mountain?

Yes they are. It is the Franklin mountains with a huge lighted star at night. Google it. Also, we have a scenic drive on the mountain taking us from central El Paso to the Westside of El Paso. There's a park up there where you can view the City of El Paso and Juarez, Mexico. Juarez has it's own mountain range. We are surrounded by mountains and protected from tornadoes. ❤

Some interesting looking structures; and relatively diverse architectural styles. I imagine you can find some very good Tex-Mex cuisine in the area....

More than Tex Mex plenty of authentic Mexican food! It is different to Tex Mex. I Love my City. Only down is we don’t much rain but windy days! But I’ll take it instead of hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes. lol ❤

I'm frankly still trying to discern the differences between the two; but I do realize there are many different styles of regional mexican cuisine, it's not all beans, rice, and cheese....

El Paso…one of the most drab and depressing towns on the barren Texas prairie. A real Texas hick town.

El Paso is a very clean city even in the less progressive part of town . The streets are free of trash and garbage. The small side streets are decent , clean and NO GRAFFITI.
