I love the church with all my heart. The father at the church was my great uncle and he told me one day look, look jesus is looking at you hita. I started crying and thy lord took away my chic pain away and my depression that I had. Praise jesus our father well never turn his back on his children in the world never give up.

My sister was born with a broken ear drum we took her as a child prayed over her and hear ear was healed

This is so true I'm from Albuquerque NM...I took my mom she was cured on her swollen ankle with the dirt I love this place and making plans to go soon again I moved to Oklahoma City ok and miss being close to new Mexico...it all about believes and Faith....

We had left Chimayo with a small bag of blessed dirt. I placed it on the inside of the driver door. On the way on I -25 some sharp object was hurled at the drivers door by a mad man dressed in orange laughing insanely that goodness is did not hit me, it would have caused a not so good accident. Evil could not penetrate and harm me and my friend. 7/2015

Some good people want and accept their pain and sufferings and they offer it to God for the conversion of sinners and unbelievers.

Paul the Apostle had a thorn in the flesh that he prayed to God to remove. The Lord refused his request. He was given the thorn to keep him humble. I know this all seems insane. I'm from NM and honestly, I don't believe a good part of the story behind Chimayo. What I do know is there is something there that is profound and beautiful. Very much like New Mexico, an adobe church, a humble place where miracles have happened. I have no doubt about that part of the story.
