This makes me unspeakably happy. Most of the 30 Days 30 Songs initiative has been golden, and EL VY just brings their a-game to everything.

Just from listening and guessing, not from any inside knowledge: First of all, the whole song is from Trump's perspective so, "Blue birds blow their brains out on my shoulders" - a possible allusion to the blue bird that landed on Bernie sparking the Birdie memes, contrasting with the more bellicose, environmentally ignorant Trump. Or it could be that the "long evenings with Steve and Roger" is the cause of the bird suicide. I'm guessing Steve = Steve Bannon, and Roger = Roger Ailes - both having roles in the Trump campaign; the former, an official role, the latter unofficial. Just mentioning that they are in Trump's inner circle is damning enough in itself, since Bannon is a domestic abuser and Ailes was accused of sexual assault. "Before I fall asleep I always talk to my father's Lego skull" - Trump advances the idea that he is completely self-made. He isn't. His father not only gave him the now-famous "small loan of a million dollars [Death Cab For Cutie also recorded a 30Days30Songs song called "Million Dollar Loan" in reference to this"]", but saved his career/saved him from bankruptcy several times when he was tanking. So the Lego skull practically feels like a reference to Kylo Ren in Star Wars VII worshiping Darth Vader's helmet, unable to break out of the shadow of such a successful figure, although I doubt that's how they intended it. "moving staircase" is probably a jab at his need to surround himself with opulence. "rocking back and forth, feeding on the fear of course" evokes some great imagery for me of Trump literally gaining his power and strength from the fear of others, like some kind of video game boss getting steadily bigger as you're dealt damage. The reason they'd claim that Trump feeds off of fear is that he's really brought out white nationalist sentiment from poor/working-class whites, which is something that's been done many times throughout American history so those voters could be used as a tool to advance the interests of the rich by appealing to their desire not to be the absolute lowest on the totem pole of our class hierarchy, and by using another group with differing race/religion/etc. as a convenient and scary alien scapegoat. E.g. the Know-Nothings of the mid-1800s, or the advent of race-based slavery. "are these my jets?" - not as certain about the hook, but it feels like a reference to Trump's egotism resulting in his need to put his name in "yuuuuge" font on everything. So in the song maybe he's being sarcastic in asking "are these my jets?" because it's very clear that they are, given the all-caps name emblazoned on the side. "I like to mix ladies' drinks with my fingers" is definitely a reference to Trump's sexually predatory/creepy nature vis-à-vis pretty much every woman he's ever encountered. "walrus dick jewelry for everyone in America" seems like a reference to Trump's outlandish promises, like the Mexican border wall supposedly to be paid for by Mexico somehow. The Spanish verse is also about walrus dick jewelry, probably sung in Spanish because of Trump's terrible aspersions against Hispanic people. All of this could be wrong, but to me at least it definitely seems like a very funny satirical song which is very blatantly about/against Donald Trump.

I like your interpretation. I would submit these interpretations: Blue birds = Twitter Moving staircase = escalator Trump went down when he made his announcement about running for president Are these my jets? » the president is the commander-in-chief. Trump has talked about what he would do with the armed forces and nuclear arsenal in particular

And "Steve & Roger" = Steve Bannon and Roger Ailes I was the same way, I couldn't piece it together. But now the lyrics all make sense now. And I'd be willing to bet money that the Spanish they sing near the end translates into something relating to Trump, considering his "relationship" with Latinos. It HAS to be something related to Trump.
