The awkwardness in Matt's voice when he transitions from return to the moon to sad case, fits the sound of the band completely! Love both The National and EL VY

I heard this song on Sirius today. I usually turn it when I hear stuff I don't know but not this. I was instantly hooked to that guitar lick. What a cool song.

hot damn this guitar work is good, great tone, tasteful and rhythmic, not overplayed, the riffs are catchy with a strong enough pop undertone to keep the songs fun. sweet!

Crank the Sun is my absolute favorite song from El VY...brilliant....would love to see more...and please believe you have serious followers. And I have to follow with your song" Need a friend" is also amazing and the mix with our Baltimore home town band Wye Oak was awesome. Please.. please keep it coming.

Beautiful piece by literally everyone involved. . . Dj, band and all. Host flowed the conversation and music into almost a story. Found this from the NPR tiny desk suggestions but goddamit have I fallen in love with El VY

Typically KEXP's live recordings sound better than anywhere else on the web, but this one seems off. That said, no rendition of art is "bad," so I'm super glad this is out there.

So good. They have what appears to be a dynamite sound. Though I think they could really benefit from having a kazoo player in the group. Anyway, my new favorite band. Also, DJ El Toro is the coolest. Great stuff... as always.
