For anyone that was struggling to understand: 2:13-3:45 By having the real woofer inside the cabinet and not directly creating sound, distortion products created by the woofer (an unavoidable byproduct of how drivers work) get muffled out compared to the actual bass content you want. It results in cleaner bass without having to overbuild the driver. 6:20-10:50 The in wall sub is capable of measuring it's own impedance curve to estimate the size of the wall cavity behind it, which then gives the software a baseline to use the phone mic trick mentioned at 5:15, resulting in a calibrated EQ adjustment. Before that self measuring system was in place, there was no baseline to use since the software would not know those details. It's a neat system.

Huge thanks for the great interview with Andrew Jones ! I could listen to him all day long . . . the new ELAC Adante would be a VERY interesting step-up from my current large system . . . there's some brilliant engineering in the Adante tower :-)
