Just another opinion, but I thought that Eleanor Johnson's portrait of Elaine was the best --- and Elaine chose it as well. I think it was even better than the 3 finalists' works that were selected.

I agree with inga and toby, but how could they have bypassed Eleanor's and picked that awful yellow background one....i don't even think Christabel should have been in the semifinals with the crooked painting she did to qualify for this round

Couldn't agree more. For my taste, Christabel"s style is overly simplistic and the result lacks soul. I know she goes on to win the whole thing which says more about the judges than the quality of her painting.

I thought Toby was getting lost in the shuffle. I was already greaving because I thought it was obvious HIS was the most like her. I gasped when they called his name!!! I'm so happy.

Yet again, there were only 2 that looked like the sitter. Some Did look more like Helen Mirren and others could have been Anyone. Out of the 3 they picked ,I would have only chosen Toby's. I would have had Toby, then Eleanor, and as for the 3rd? I would have struggled. There was one that made her look like a bulldog who had been hit with a shovel! So Not that!

Funny, I love watching the show but the ones they choose to win, are so many times beyond me!🤷‍♀️There’s got to be some catch.. 😒 🤔

Eleanor got the only acceptable one today. Not really a strong day. It responds to the some kind of unimaginable background... New Judges with less artsyfartsy talk would be nice. Joan needs to stay! She is a Blessing in the Series!
