Bunny Topiary for Easter Decor - Dollar Tree Easter Crafts

Easter is just around the corner and coming fast and we're starting our Dollar Tree Easter crafts. So I’ve got a fun Dollar Tree DIY Easter Bunny Topiary that will rock your Easter décor! It’s made completely of Dollar Tree items and is really easy to do. Craft like a designer and have this adorable Easter bunny to decorate your porch or add to your homedecor. This is SO CUTE!! The bowls make the bunny nice and plump! I was thinking that zip ties might be a good idea for putting the ears together and for attaching each ear. So just 3 small zip ties would be enough. Good idea about using cheaper hot glue.

Glad you like it Frieda! The ears don't sit flat in the top of the head so I'm not sure how you could attach the zip ties... maybe on the corners?? Anyway, thanks for being a fabulous Glue Dot!!!

If you put rocks inside your pot put a cardboard piece on the bottom or a round circle of wood then you could turn the pot upside down and glue the bunny on that and that would look a lot better and I think it would hold up a lot better

That is really great idea, thank you for sharing. Just a suggestion about the ears you could wire the ears through the strainer bowl with glue, before you glue the bowls together just for extra security for the bunny ears.

You can place rip ties on top of the strainer before you glue them together. Then after, when it's time for ears you can zip tie first and then glue.

Would it be easier to use a spray adhesive or Modpoge instead of using hot glue with the moss. I did other like projects with the moss using hot glue and made a mess, so I was trying to find another way.

The spray adhesive and Mod Podge are not strong enough to hold the moss in place until it dries and while you work on it. Unfortunately, hot glue is the only way I can think of that really works well.

I use gorilla glue spray adhesive and it works fine. Then I spray it over top after shaking the excess moss off just to kinda keep it together.

I'm not sure where you'd zip tie them. Sara Jane from Chic on the Cheap did one with floral foam glued to the top of the head and the ears pressed into it and glued... great idea!

I don't think spray adhesive would work to attach the moss to the bowl but it works to keep the moss bits in place and from coming off later (kinda like hairspray on your hair).

Could you use or make holes in the colander before you glue them together and attach the ears with zip ties? Might give it more support, I'm going to try it. I really like these!

Yes Sheila, you can use bigger bowl or smaller bowls depending on the size of bunny you want to make. You'll go through a lot of moss if you get too big though...be prepared!
