When developing the next generation of the popular Ripstick series, Elan chose to adopt an open innovation approach. In cooperation with ISPO Open Innovation, this concept was utilized to involve the freeride ski community in the design process of new skis. During the process more than 650 people participated in an online survey and 100 people tested the new Ripstick prototype skis. The feedback we got was used to finetune the new Ripstick series, resulting in a rider driven product that satisfies the needs of the most demanding skiers.
