My favorite trail breaking sled the Elan. I had a 1970 or 72 with a 250 twin. 30 mph was top end , but you couldn’t get it stuck , it would go anywhere!

I love my 74 294 SS run so smooth compared to the 250 twin however nothing beats my 74 250 single old yellow will bring you home

Yes those were thugh machines.. You could get them unstuck easily to LIGHT!

The '75 was called a 300. It still had the 294 in it. I have one of each. Fun video.

I have one. The previous owner replaced a blown 294 with a 399. The 399 was built for torque and the elan pulls really well. Still goes but doesn't rev as high as the 294 so top speed is about 60mph.

My 73 ...Ski Doo Elan 250 SS Twin with 24 HP.....Speed test's alone with me 165lb. Did 65 MPH...smooth ditch with a car beside me....with my buddy same weight we both together could get 53 MPH......My little brother 8 yrs old weight 85 lb.. could get the SS up to 70 MPH..... FACTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its not a 300 its a 294 I had one just like it it was one of the best snowmobiles I ever had and bullet proof it would go anywere

Amazing to think that was bought new! Kind of anoying it seems thiers not much affordable these days to buy new! Price seems fair by todays money except who knows what type of dickery they where doing then! I know more now so I guess it depends on what the person was sold at the time! Nice snow mobile, awesome to think somone got a fun deal
