Found in a storage unit after the owner sadly passed away. A beautiful condition 1993 Ski Doo Formula 470 snowmobile! Watch the buying and reviving of this vintage sled! Give a like for the previous owner of this snowmobile as well. May he rest in peace.
Let's hope for snow soon friends. I'm itching to get riding on the trails this winter!

I had a MXZ 470 that I dragged raced back in the day. With some clutch tuning and change the rotary valve for more port timing it was pretty impressive!

Nice & clean unit , Great deal in my opinion . No snow here in S Maine yet either ! Hopefully the storm forcasted for 2nt Saturday into Sunday will be semi substantial . Parts just arrived this morning for 08n Rev xp , Fuel tank line Grommet , & a pair of carb Air Intake Adapters . The originals had a few hair line cracks forming . Brake system flushed & bled , primary & secondary disassembled , inspected , cleaned , & back together , new hyfax installed , all skid idler wheel bearings cleaned & re-packed , rear suspension arms greased , new plugs , etc .....JUST NEED SNOW !

We just got our first 3 inches😢 we had like 4ft this time last year…I own a resort on the trails and it’s like a ghost town right now. Snowmobilers are my main customers all winter, now they just sit in my bar and drown their sorrows and talk about the new sled sitting in the garage.

Nice sled,man!!! My very first sled that I bought new was a 1995 ski-doo formula ss (670 Rotax). I had to put an electric start on it, or my dad couldn't start it. That 670 was a bear to start, very hi compression.

My 1st sled I bought brand new was a 90 Formula mx. Same basic motor that has. Never had a problem with it. I put more than 6k miles on it and changed the belt once.

Hot dang, that is the cleanest, used sled that you've purchased, Jeremy Rhydes! They used to use that 470 liquid in the old Formula MX sleds. Its a peppy little motor.

im in nebraska and they are talkin 3-7 inches sunday nite to tuesday mornin. we had about 4 inches a week or so ago and was able to get 48 miles on the sled. i have a 1978 polaris cobra 440 and 2 kawasaki, 1980 invader and intruder. keep up with the great vids. awsome

Hey Jeremy, Loved the video. You got a great deal on that Formula ST. You keep them videos coming. I like the vintage sleds you get. Cant wait to see the video on the Yamaha Enticer. I have had several of those and currently have an older Yamaha Bravo. They are fun old sleds. Like you we, don't get a lot of snow. You asked what everyone has for snow. We are currently getting a blanket of snow (Sat. Jan 6)to cover the ground. We haven't had decent snow since mid-November. I live in Central Wisconsin. @@adambradley8734 Hey, Portage! Right down the freeway from Tomah (where I live). I used to love playing in the band around Portage. We have played lots good gigs in that town. Anyway, I have been looking at a couple of storm tracks. Some say up to 6 inches. Yes, the tracks do look impressive...kind of. But I am guessing we will get maybe an inch if we are lucky. These storms may "look" impressive, but when they get here, they always seem to fizzle away. Will see what happens. Fingers crossed, My sleds are tired of just being yard queens, LOL.

Probably the reason the carbs were clean and old gas was so dark is because it was old mixed gas! Two stroke oil is actually a fuel stabilizer.. I actually run pre mix 100:1 or 150:1 in all my sleds all the time and run Br9eya plugs and haven't fouled any of them and extra oil is good for the bottom end!

That's actually not a bad idea. Oil injection does not fail often, but if it does, a bit of light premix in the fuel tank could save an engine from burning down. I think I might start doing this. (...That is IF we ever get an actual winter around here again.) Thanks for the tip.

I got a Formula 583 back when it was only a few years old for $600. It came with two hoods, a black a purple. It ran great and everytbing. It was awesome.until the idiot I rented a room from ran it into a fence post. Didnt handle worth a damn, but it was fast. I did a top.speed run first day of owning it and it tops out the speedo super easy. I think 130 kph is the speedo max. So it probably did 140-150 kph.
