Today I upgraded the headlights on my 2023 Hyundai Elantra Sel Convenience. The headlights come with incandescent yellow bulbs which don't look modern at all. Installing these new LED headlights help increase the aesthetics and helps you see at night.

hi, i made the upgrade to the 9005 no issues at all however, i still think even though they are way much better than the halogen ones, I still think it needs more power, the low beam illuminates just about right, bright enough for low beam, but when I hit the high beam it's almost un-noticeable , i can barely tell the difference unless i'm driving in a pitch dark area, are there any other recommended LED replacements that provide more Lumens?, or what would you suggest for better high beam setup ?... Thanks

Just did the Halogen-to-LED swap this morning and already, looking better than ever. Some pointers for those interesting in doing the swap themselves; the video makes that little gap between the gasket and the rest of the area look larger than it actually is. You ARE going to cut and slice your hand on that grey piece of metal in there. Also, feel free to unplug that outlet that's just in the way, it doesn't mess anything up. When you're trying to test the lights, however, do plug them back in. On a separate note, really enjoying the content for the 2023 Elantra SEL man. I'm essentially recreating your build over here with my own Gray Elantra SEL. Hoping to see you post one of you installing the spoiler! Keep up the videos!

I upgraded high beams on veloster N to led and it's day and night difference. If it's hard to put bulb inside light housing it's best to take whole unit out and work it that way, a bit longer but you won't brake anything

Does the canbus box stays outside while installing the dust cover ? Just hanging . What goes inside the headlight fixture besides the led ? Just the led then the dust cover and on the outside some wiring the canbus box and the connection ?

Omg I did this yesterday and the car looks amazing and the headlights are great, but guys be prepared to find this extremely difficult even with normal hands. The gap looks bigger in the video it’s not as large, you’ll cut yourself and maybe even struggle more than anticipated but ITS WORTH IT!

It’s honestly easier to remove the front part of the wheel-well trim and go in from there. The plastic trim studs come out super easily and you won’t have to worry about cutting up your hand.

I made the LED application last month. There is no need to disassemble the headlights. Unscrew the headlight covers from the top, take out the old bulb, insert the new LEDs into the slot and unscrew the 3 screws on the hood, reach out from below, adjust the LEDs and close the lid, that's it.

Your coolant level is Low in the overflow bucket. Mine was like that when I bought it too. I forced the dealer to give me a container of Hyundai Coolant & I filled it up to the Full Line myself. (half distilled water & half coolant)

Additional Note: Make sure the bulb is positioned properly in the housing, otherwise your lights will look asymmetrical. If I recall correctly, the lights will hit at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock in the housing. I got a 23 SEL and did this swap the 2nd day of ownership. I love to see what work others do to customize their cars, especially the new gen Elantra. Great videos man, keep it up!

Hello, thanks for nice instructions. Today, I put one side in and I have a question. When I turned on light for 10 seconds, the whole SEALIGHT Scoparc 9005 bulb(bulb, box) is extremely hot, so I was scared and hold on to put in otherside. Is this normal and safe?

That box is part of the LED - I saw it says it’s not compatible but I use the exact one on my elantra. It could have just not been updated on amazon

I went into a Hyundai dealership and asked them if they could replace my halogen lights on my 2023 Elantra hybrid blue trim but they said that replace halogen fixtures with LEDs could cause overheating and ruin the circuitry. They were also concerned how this would effect the cars warranty. Did yoy have any or have you heard of any electrical issues by making this change? I've also considered white halogen bulbs but they couldn't find any that they said wouldn't effect the warranty.

My dealership said it wont affect the warranty im in PA if that makes any difference. It cant void warranty to install LED headlights thats nonsense. They did however, recommend me to pay $320 to get them installed because they wouldnt do it without removing the front bumper but I did it this way and it turned out fine.

Just what I was looking for! I bought a 2023 Elantra N-Line for my 16 year old son for Christmas and I want to switch the bulbs out for these LED bulbs. Kind of sucks that you pay so much money for a car, especially in this day and age, and it doesn't even come with LED lheadlights. As long as they are HB3 or 9005 led bulb, you should be good. Just bought N Line yesterday and I'm looking to get a fanless, compact led lights on Amazon.

Told him we should switch the wheels out for some 19s. Was looking into the Avid One AV 20 gloss black. I already had his front and rear emblems painted (not plasti-dipped but proper paint) black, tinted smoked the taillights and also the front, put black gloss PPF on his roof, tinted all the windows, and put one of those hood LED lights on it.

Some LED bulbs come with fan which makes it bulky especially in a small housing like the Elantra. Then you have LED bulbs with no fan, no cord, no box. Just simple exact replacement of halogen. Same size.

Hi I can try to help. I had the same problem. 1 of two reasons, try plugging the headlight in the other way mine had a positive and a negative side and it only worked on one side. The other reason could be if you unplugged the little cord thats in the way when trying to do all this you have to plug it back in correctly.

This cannot be accomplished in 2023 Elantra SEL trim. The bulb doesn't have plug it's wired as a whole piece to the main wire. So im not sure how dealer even changes the bulb could be the wire connected somewhere deep but there is no access in there.

You have to adjust the lights’ orientation with a screwdriver. Mine did the same thing until I rotated them

Find that black circle with three short prongs around the base of the led bulb. Then find the tiny screw on that base. Once you take the screw out, just rotate the base about 45 degrees (until the next available screw holes line up. It’s not possible to mess up spinning the base too little or too much because the screw won’t fit until the holes line up again). Put the screw back in to lock that black base in place, then re-insert them into your car. That should fix your problem.
