Very nice! Love how the planes shoot STRAIGHT up once in the air! Also cool to see the rhythm of the traffic, and also the ripples on the water from some of the engine exhaust. Next video - an hour of landings?

Well done. I found it quite interesting how they kept getting the light guys out in between, seemingly with next to no wake turbulence separation. I know the elapsed time feature can mislead on this but I saw several take offs of "lights" while the smoke was still in the air from the preceding heavier craft. In any case, you have great patience!

Amazing! You should try and do one of planes landing.... If you were at the end of the runway then it would look crazy as the super fast planes come into land then slow down just as they get to you!

This is AWESOME! I give so much credit to the air traffic controllers. What an insanely difficult job. I fly from Hyannis to Nantucket everyday and that's an extremely busy little airport. The busiest in New England next to Logan. Of course, 95% of our planes are pretty tiny :)

This is really beautiful. Looking at the amount of planes flying out you start to see how the whole airport fits together into a kind of assembly line formua. It also reminds me of bats or bees lining up to leave a nest. Would make a great screensaver on loop. :)

I was approached by police while videotaping commuter rail back in 2002. I told them I was on public property (a public parkway) and was filming for hobby purposes. I asked them if they really wanted to pursue harassing me for something that was perfectly legal prior to 9/11 and they reluctantly backed off. FORTUNATLEY, it's very difficult for law enforcement to build cases against legitimate rail fans and aircraft enthusiasts.

That was totally AWESOME! Thanks for that excellent vid. Makes me want to cough a few times; some of the planes put up quite a bit of smoke, like an ol' DC9 would. This vid gives me an idea of what to expect at KBOS. I'm definitely hooked now. Could you tell me,what runway is that? And what location are you here, where the cops seem a little skiddish? Would they freak out if I were to use a lil' handheld point n shoot (Nikon Coolpix L120)? Love your vids, can't wait to see more!

I like this! a great job of editing! I'm from Spain, and if I stay close to an airport spotting for more than an hour, police will arrive and question me. I'm not surprised that the coast guard showed up, I AM SURPRISED THEY TOOK SO LONG to show up, in a country so paranoic with plane terrorism like the USA

@blahboom2 You did! It all depends on weight ratio. The runway is 7861 feet long, just long enough for a 747 to use when on a light load. Also, some pilots prefer using longer runways for pre-cautionary reasons, typically when they are operating a large aircraft.

What I enjoy most about big jet take off’s is the gradual spooling up of the engines to about 1/2, and then full blast. It is almost erotic to me, like porn for my ears. (Just a hint for the guys that make videos of planes).

At 2:16 a large airliner goes from right to left on the taxiway, past the runway. At 2:23, it looks like the exact same aircraft comes back from the left (blue rudder w/red stripe at top) and takes off. What is the possibility that he taxied too far (looks like he was going pretty fast, hard to tell in this cool video) and had to turn around and try again?

The little plane at 1:34 takes off REALLY close behind that jet! The jet hasn't even lifted off the runway when he throttles up and takes off. Check out his crazy flight path too, he banks it hard right, every other plane flew straight out =)
