Kurt, I know you'll never read this... But this goes to everyone. I had a brain bleed back in '13, and I got paralyzed on the whole right side of my body. I used to be a very good pianist before all of this happened. The last song I was playing Fantasie Impromtu Opus 64. Anyways, when I see you play, tears well up in my eyes. There is still a chance for me to recover, but it won't be quick... Although tears are trickling down my face (lol). You inspire me to push myself everyday, and every time I have a chance. Thanks Kurt 😃 You really do change peoples lives , one note at a time.

Every time I listen to this song, it still amazes me how much emotion is portrayed in her voice. The song has a message. Now everyone’s interpretation will be different based on their circumstances, living situations, family etc. But this song hits home for me especially since I am beginning to loose my grandma and my family and I don’t know how much time we have left. Elastic heart just reminds me to be grateful of the time I am spending with her and not to take anything for granted. As you never know when your time will come or anyone else’s. So enjoy spending time with your loved ones and say “ I love you” because you may never know when that’ll be yours or their last “I love you”’!!

She is very good but i must say I prefer Sia's. They are very different and You can't judge her on how well she can sing Sia's song cause you can't sing Sia's song better than Sia. This is very good and if you prefer this style, this version will seem better to you. But for me, personally, it's the little things, like Sia's unique accent, and the way she throws her soul into the chorus that make me love hers more. This soft, soulful kind of singing would sound better in my opinion with a song like Safe and Sound. Still amazing, though. :^)

I love Madilyn's covers of Sia's songs, or her covers in general. Her voice in this cover gave me chills, a bit haunting too. Great work the both of you!

I'm in two minds about this cover. I admit it is good but there's something in her voice that I think just doesn't fit this song. Think her voice is too soft for it, this song needs to be raw. But other than that I think it's a good cover ^.^

Yah I totally agree with all you guys:) it's something unique about sia's voice. I noticed sia's voice is a little more like cracky( in a good way) when she sings very powerfully. Like in chandelier or elastic heart.

She is really good at singing. If you look at her channel you will see old videos where it is just her and the camera. But this is obviously very edited also. :)

I listened to her live and she doesn't sound exactly like this. You can tell it's very edited. But she's still a great singer!

I have been following her for years. She does sound like that. This recording of course has been mixed because it's probably up for purchase on itunes - must sell quality. But she has mastered vocal techniques switching in and out of falseto seamlessly like that and integrating such outstanding crescendo-ing high notes with vibrato. Its safe to say there is no studio that can create that. All a studio can do is provide pitch correction, reverb, and other coloring instruments that improve the quality of the recording and notes being hit.
