One of the most undersung bands of the time. LOVE these guys!

The drummer looks like he’s having the time of his life! I’m not used to seeing so much camera attention on a drummer

Car song 2:21 that's how to do it. Their debut album is packed full of wee classics like this and none outstay their welcome.

Saw them twice in 1994 at my local venue. We just took good live bands for granted back then and never thought the supply would dry up. How wrong can you be?

I loved this band so iconic in their pomp but my god they ripped the hell of out of The Stranglers baselines that John Jack Burnell did superbly well. This is Nice and Sleazy baseline repeated over and over. Infact throughout most of their tunes it was stranglers baselines that were in their songs. Very clever, but alas they got caught out and Stranglers did have them on it. I seen them live few times and they were special as well, Brit Pop times. Mid 90s was special time for British Music so many superb bands around at that time.

Damon albarn' s girlfriend it's the best !!! Love Justine forever

Damon wrote or “co-wrote”, wink wink, most of the good songs on that first album. Reason why they could never replicate it and imploded once they broke up.

I liked them at the time. When I watch it now, all I think of are other bands, the other bands they sound like. There is no sound that is actually their own, except her voice which is not great. lol.

they took the wire songs (or parts) and made it better. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They sampled those songs. Justine was a huge hip hop fan and appropriated sampling to great effect IMO. Lots of rock artists did the same thing and didn't get flack for it. The big difference is that those artists were all men.

One trick pony band…every song sounds the same. No range. Blur and Suede on the other hand had tremendous range.
@roboliver99809 ай бұрын
Sort of agree but they were short lived and punky. Could say similar about bands like the ramones but doesn’t make the music any less relevant or enjoyable.
