Nice trick,but your hands can get traped in that possition verry easy,and you open your ribs and stomach if he fakes the elbow,or throws something else after you block the first hit.am i wrong?

Yes it's true, but you can always counter an attack or circumvent a great guard. It's about enhancing the skill set, not about getting flawless.
