OK I have to admit I couldn't wait until I got outdoors until I started practising the elbow pass behind the back :P And I got it!!! I even managed to go around three or four times without dropping it, although plenty more practise required to master it. Deanne - you have made my day. You are such a fantastic teacher and a b*oody awesome hooper :D Back to my other fave pastime starting with "Ho" - horticulture (study)

Another very well executed tutorial Deanne! Thank you :) I have been practising the first part indoors. However I will wait until I can get outside to incorporate the backwards passing and mandala. I was thinking of incorporating a flick throw from my right elbow into that routine, tossing the hoop with my elbow up into the air and catching it on the same elbow again with the hoop still spinning so I can continue. I have had some success with that trick but need more practise, as always ;)

Horizontal elbow pass is a pretty cool variation that I haven't yet mastered... Or even really figured out how to do...

Such a great tutorial, this has been a huge issue for me for years now. Do you have any advice? Whenever I go to pass it and turn my body slightly, before my arm can get in position to receive the pass it wants to fly off my elbow!

Hi Deanne. I am so close to getting the behind the back elbow pass but I can't seem to keep it spinning on the arm that receives the pass (I can pass from elbow to elbow fine). I think I am hitting my leg as it passes, therefore it is stopping the spinning motion.....any tips?? Much hoop love :-) xx
