I added In The Storm to my El Debarge collection because of this performance. Mr. El was channeling aspects Marvin Gaye's I Want You album in with this one but I must say that I LOVE this song on its own. His own style is already incredible but the ways he is able to occasionally pay homage to other great artists (Bobby Debarge, Marvin Gaye) while still maintaining that El "touch" in his writing, music and vocals is why this man is a living legend. Bless him.

You can tell that Marvin Gaye was his mentor when you listen to this song and the entire album. El even revealed that he wrote , All This Love, for Marvin but Motown wouldn't let him record it. We missed out. We love both Marvin and El.

A definite Marvin Gaye influence. In later interviews he revealed Gaye was his favorite artist. In the Storm album was his best. El should be honored in an award show for his amazing talent.
