Her true goal is freedom and she will kill anyone and anything even the fingers that guide her fate she will kill it just so she can gain her freedom and the freedom of all humanity.

the two main endings, frenzied flame and Age of the Stars are simply answers to the question, "Can the lands between be fixed?" Frenzied flame says no, burn it all and end everyones suffering by ending all life. While the Age of the Stars says yes, we just have to start over. Reintroduces death to the world, making it more like our own where things are born, live and they die naturally. With the golden order and it's erdtree destroyed, all of the golden order's prejudices and damaging practices go with it. (like how they treat misbegottens and the omens.) And with the hands-off approach that Ranni is taking, change will happen gradually and not be forced like it was under Marika and the Greater Will. Essentially, under the Age of the Stars, the lands between becomes more like our world. Just with bunch more fantasy shit.

I firmly feel that The Age of Stars and The Frenzied Flame endings are the only two serious endings. The two main endings, yes; the only two that really make a significant change and that also have rationale behind them and consideration for the lore and the story of where this world is at.
