For real though, Sorceries have always been better in the Dark Souls series. As a Sorcerer Knight in those games and this game I can attest to it being fun and strong, very handy. It seems like this is the game for Faith-type spells to finally overtake Sorceries with more power and variety.

2:40 Scourging Black Flame quickly became my favourite incantation, I'm STR/FTH so it fits well with my playstyle. Quick cast, big area, very good damage against bosses. Really helped me with the Crucible Knight duo.

Obviously continuous updates and patches will be implemented but I don't see any actual game content being added for at least a year, I think 18-24+ months is more likely. The game is massive and likely you said a lot of time has been spent on it, I think the next project will be the main focus with DLC being worked on in the background but not released for a long time

Greyoll's Roar also does damage in a reasonable AoE around the caster. Its listed effect is to heavily debuff enemy defense and Max HP, but it also can hit. Basically pop this, then Placidusax's Ruin and that's the end of well, everything near you.

I love the new Pyromancies and I love how they've simplified everything to pretty much just use Faith. Been trying to figure out what incantations I actually want to roll with.. Finger seal may be the worst thing to cast them with, it all depends on what Incantations you intend to use, the Dragon Communion Incantations are boosted by the seal of Dragon Communion, but it has half the incant scaling of other seals, and it also scales off of arcane, a stat you need to cast those Dragon Incantations, while the Clawmark Seal boosts bestial incantations and scales better with strength, find the seal that best matches what you intend to use, though if you intend to try them all, the finger seal may be the better option.

I have been testing a bit and spells don't really scale in strenght as you level faith it's actually just the weapon that it's scaling. Best damage for me rn is dragon communion seal with high arcane and faith. Just get the faith requirements for whatever the strongest spell you wanna use needs and then drop everything else into arcane, this is what gets the highest DPS for me, weirdly enough also on non dragon spells lol

@@GalaxiaKnightX I’m pretty sure I heard arcane is like the “luck” skill in other RPG’s. It just increases RNG of items u get form monsters I believe

@@GalaxiaKnightX Arcane is the analogue to the luck skill from previous souls games, things like bleed scale off of it, afaik it is just a stat requirements for some of the spells in the game, primarily the Dragon Communion Incantations, though an arcane build in Elden Ring is much more viable than a luck build in any other souls game given the ashes of war that scale off of it.

I hope there is a way for the black flame blade to last longer 😭 it looks so cool but it went out so fast so I had to switch to the blood flame blade which last like 4 times longer

Faith may not be more OP than intelligence but It’s dafintelly cooler and useful in PVE I love how unique the animation is compared to magic where most of the time you just shoot blue stars but here you can swin a tale Bite with a dragon head Burn people with black fire etc And the Defensive and support incantations are amazing Like erd tree heal and flame cleanse me And I forgot to mention that the names are so badass like giant flame take thee, elden stars and the flame of Frenzy
