Hey, thank you for having me! It was a pleasure to showcase the run I've been pouring my all into for the last year or so. For full transparency though, I want to talk about the audio setup. The headphones used during the marathon were noise cancelling, but didn't block all audio. We did tests beforehand where they seemed fine to me. I'm not sure what changed during the actual marathon but I could faintly hear the commentators during quiet sections of the game. This isn't ideal of course, and invalidates the run from going on the leaderboards. I don't think it gave me a significant advantage though. On the contrary it messed me up. This run is fully memorized to the point where I have to count each footstep/audio cue. So having people talk in my head while I'm trying to count is honestly frustrating. There was more than one occurrence in the run where I miss-counted due to this. Anyways, I hope this doesn't tarnish the run too much and that you can still enjoy the showcase for what it is. Hopefully I'll get a chance to redeem myself some other time

I know it totally defeats the purpose of a blindfolded run, but it's so nerve-wracking watching it that there were times i was actually hoping you could hear people cheering so you knew you got something right. It's crazy to me that any of this is possible and it was awesome to watch.
@superscatboy11 ай бұрын
I had been wondering how much you could hear, as at the start of the night's cavalry one of the commentators asked the crowd not to applaud as it would give you information. I greatly respect that you are open about the fact that you could hear some commentary at certain times. The run is extremely impressive, and your honesty is admirable.
