“The reason why O&S work is because one is fast…” - this is how everyone talks about this fight and guess that’s what they were going for, but it never worked for me this way. More often I find Ornstein stuck behind Smough, hitting me with his spear through Smough while I try to hit him. When Ornstein occasionally does his bugged dash attack, Smough usually closes his the distance pretty quickly with his charge attack. The whole O&S fight is all about dancing around pillars and hoping one of the enemies AI stuck behind it a bit longer for you to land a safe hit on another one.

It also matters a lot how hard in terms of numbers a boss is. All the large and cinematic bosses are OK if they're easier, but get super annoying once the badly telegraphed attacks actually kill you. Another factor is understanding what the devs want from you: I used to hate Scadutree Avatar the first time I fought it, because it's conveyed so poorly that you're supposed to get out of melee for some attacks. He even teaches you at the start of the fight that you can dodge/jump thorns and then you can't? Once I understood the fight, it became quite fun for me. Bayle is the same, I wouldn't know that you're supposed to stand in front of him if I hadn't researched the fight after overpowering him on my first playthrough hugging the feet like with all other dragons.

Mohg's blood rain attack isnt a problem, he literally walks out of it instantly every time. And consort Radahn isnt a reskin, he has a fully unique moveset so like, literally not a reskin, by definition

You seem to have mixed between “rewarding” and “satisfying”, this attack relies on unintuitive mechanic and isn’t rewarding to dodge by any means since you just get an opening just like any other opening after it, the whole bait and wait strategy for this boss sucks in general

Learning how to successfully dodge waterfowl is like trying to outplay a cheater in an online game, satisfying when you pull it off but the process sucks ass, imo that alone makes malenia go down a tier. Telling you this being able to virtually no hit her at rl1, the first time experience is just not good, if you want to give an objective opinion that is

I have a claymore and talis only RL1 no hit of Malenia on my channel. Malenia is F tier. Waterfowl is a terribly designed attack and she has nested problems on top of that, from her super-armor stance violations to her snap close range punished to her clone attack which also lacks intuitive answers to her playstyle-dwarfing heal to her terrible answers to group play that make her a glorified pinata in team play to her excessively passive phase 1 AI. At a level of fight refinement, she is the worst boss From has ever made.
