35:39 I don’t think that Gideon has a title as much as it is that he really is the closest thing to being all knowing without being a God he is the only tarnished they can use sorceress and incantations, while wielding a club. So he is so smart and so knowledgeable that he is able to use these things without a catalyst and he’s probably the most disrespected person in the game.

I dont see people bring this about elden ring criticism(at least the pvers it seems dont) but what makes me kinda sad about this game is the lack of covenants you can join and 6 player limit to give you the sense that these factions oppose one another through the form of the multiplayer. Like imagine getting the bigger picture of how bad the godwyn situation is by getting your world infected by a grave lord spreading death to your enemies making them into ng+ with deathblight flames or joining the recusants and join a co invasion as part of an assassination mission against a gank squad serving the golden order or something some good ol 4v2 or 3v3s. Such a disappointment this game was with its multiplayer

26:44 btw. Loretta and likely the tree sentinels are Albanoric. They are all chained to their horses and have zero leg movement. And we know this isn’t a game limitation because the night Cavalry or on horse back but are not chained and can get off.

I know I'm a bit late but your probably right considering Commander Gaius was Albinariuc and he's in the DLC. I'm assuming at one point Albinariucs weren't discriminated against considering that Gaius was worthy of being a friendly rival to Radahn.

23:55 again the black flame of only connected to the Rune of death in that the black flame was INTENDED to burn and be able to kill a god. When they rune of death was removed from the Elden Ring ANYTHING Designed to bring upon death, became not fully effective, because death was removed from the land between. That’s why the black flames were no longer as powerful as they had been because they could no longer serve the primary focus which was to kill. It has nothing to do with Maliketh sealing destined death. Once it was removed from the Elden ring. Death no longer have power in the land. This is why during the night of the black knives fragments of Destined death had to be stolen. It was only AFTER TNTBK that Melachit bound his sword to his own flesh and I was to prevent any pieces of it from ever being stolen again. Again, death was removed from the land and all things pertaining to death when the rune was removed from the Elden ring. It being sealed was just a security measure. And the black flame have nothing the do with TRD except for the fact that like all things TRD robbed anything or the ability to bring about death, including old age, and drowning etc.

Good video! Though, I disagree with your take on the dragon name pronunciations. It is likely that their names were derived from Latin. Thus, the "x" sound would be pronounced. I could be wrong, though! Perhaps GRRM went with a French pronunciation, after all.

In French the "x" in Elden Ring's dragon names is pronounced just as in Latin or English, like in "Asterix". You can lookup KZbinr "BLA 1420" and his video "Où Trouver Fortissax La Lich Draconique" for an example within the first 10 seconds. It's mostly grammatical endings that are not pronounced as written in French, like "les animaux" where the -aux ending signifies the plural.

It’s one person. She is a God after all. The statue reveled by the law of regression say “Radagon IS Marika” , not “Radagon and Marika etc..” she is one being that used subterfuge to subdue Rennala. Radagon’s “Law of Regression” it’s self is also proof. (Look up the word “regression.”) that’s why we see in the Radagon fight, he starts as Marika who’s blonde hair turns red, signifying she has turned into basically her combat form which is Radagon. We actually see Morgott do there too a lesser degree as Margitt the fell omen.

Your Latin pronunciations are terrible. If you're going to make a point about pronouncing Latin correctly, then you want to be using the Classical Latin pronunciations, circa first century BC (Late Republic and Augustinian era). If so, then you have so many things wrong that you might as well not be speaking the language at all. First things first, Classical Latin does not use silent letters. If the letter is there, you pronounce it. The only exceptions of any sort are diphthongs, which are either combined pronunciations or new pronunciations based upon the two letters. So you ignoring the X at the end of the names is entirely inexcusable. And the x is pronounced as it mostly is in modern English, the _ks_ sound found in the word "axle." So you pronouncing "Fortisax" as "Fortisah" is not just dissonant, it's factually incorrect. Second, Latin does not have "ea" as a diphthong. The "ea" is two separated sounds, and thus forms two different syllables. So your point about Lansseax is doubly wrong. The syllables for her name are lans-SE-ax. Third, the pronunciation of the letters you do get right are still often wrong. "Fortisax" is mostly right, except again for the ending (the "a" is long by position, so like in the word _father_ and the x is, again, pronounced like an x), but Lansseax has almost nothing correct. The first "a" is a short one, so it's almost like the ending you applied to Fortisax, but not trailing into an _h_ sound. You pronounced one of the "s"s correctly, but you skipped the second one entirely; unlike English, Latin demands both to be pronounced as their own sound, not merged together. Third, the "ee" sound you used for "ea" is outright wrong in every way. The "e" would probably be long by nature, so is pronounced like the word _they_ is. And the a, again, is long by position, as I went over with Fortisax. Lastly, you _are_ correct that Placidusax is being mispronounced, but I'm willimg to bet you got that wrong too. The common pronunciation gets the first three letters correct, but the "c" should be hard, as in _cat,_ and the "i" should be long, so like in the word _machine,_ or like the "ee" sound you thought "ea" made. After that, the common pronunciation gets the "du" essentially correct, albeit often a little long, and I've already explained how the "sax" should go. Look: if you want to make a point about getting the Latin right, that's fair game. But making a point about pronouncing Latin correctly, then getting it wrong yourself? That makes you sound like a pompous dumbass to anyone who knows the language. Source: three years of study at the University of Utah. Also, a copy of Wheelock's Latin, 7th Edition, I have right in front of me. Section Intrōdvctiō, pages xxxvii to xxxix.

But he not only made a point about how it's Latin, not only made a point about how everyone else is pronouncing it wrong, but he had the inexcusable audacity to do all that while being *_even worse_* than the common pronunciations. Merely being wrong is one thing, everyone is wrong about stuff. But this sort of unwarranted pretention earned a harsher rebuke.
