The fleshbeds’ skin is what resembles the sheets, so as long as you change your sheets regularly you should be able to detect a fleshbed before it gets you. Also you can just remove the sheets and put them back on in order to quickly confirm that a mattress is safe, so if you do that every night before sleeping you’ll always be safe. Unless the text means the skin is disguised as a non-removable mattress cover, in which case just surprise piledriver your mattress every once in a while to keep the fuckers on their toes.

I use the double barrel metric for how dangerous entities are. If a hillbilly with a shotgun can: 1) kill it without even using the shotgun (ie. punching it or swatting it, no gimmicks or anything), it’s a level 0 and not a threat. 2) if one shot kills the entity, it’s a level 1 and poses almost no threat. 3) if 2 barrels kills or incapacitated the entity for an extended period of time (as in days or weeks, not hours or minutes) it’s a level 2 and poses a slight threat. 4) if 2 barrels severely damages the entity but doesn’t outright kill or incapacitate it, it’s a level 3 and poses a moderate threat. 5) if 2 barrels causes substantial damage (something that can’t be healed quickly or substantially weakens the entity, but doesn’t leave the entity unable to kill or whatever else it does), it’s a level 4 and poses a severe threat. 6) if 2 barrels have little to no effect on the entity, it’s a level 5 and poses a massive threat. Anti-argument post script: the hillbilly has no prior knowledge of the entity, doesn’t take shots at specific areas of the entity, both are aware of each other, and you can’t do things like set traps for the entity or have the hillbilly be abnormally strong or anything.

You could kill Nihilego really easily. Step 1: Get a cloth Step 2: Wrap your fists in them Step 3: Wet the cloth Step 4: Wear any steel armor/sheets on your body to become immune to poison type attacks and resist rock type attacks. Punch it with your wet fist which will count as poison type attacks. Alternative 1: Find a psychic(in the pokemon world there are human psychics), Hire them to protect you and if you encounter one tell the psychic to use a psychic attack on it for super effective damage. Alternative 2: Dig some dirt from anywhere, place it in a bucket, mix it with water until it becomes mud, make cloth balls filled with mud, chuck them at any Nihilego and it will do 4x damage due to them being classified as ground. You can also make flails, hammers and clubs using this method. Passive tips: -Try to avoid being next to any other nearby pokemon or human because Nihilego has beast boosts which makes it stronger the more creatures it knocks out or kills in a show period of time. -Try keeping any type of doll on you in the shape of a creature, you will be able to throw them at the Nihilego to distract them long enough to flee -Don't go in the tall grass, pokemon can mainly only be encountered in caves, tall grass, while diving, while surfing or in dark places -stay inside if you're under the age of 8 since if the Nihilego doesn't get you like 80 other pokemon will be out for you.

But considering it's implied these things are known (there are pictures of autopsies) you would not only be able to follow the tips in this video but there would also probably be procedures already in place to make sure you wouldn't encounter one. Matresses in that universe will probably be gaurded, locked off, and frequently checked to ensure one wouldn't end up on the market or in your bedroom. Pokemon analog horror is actually a really cool idea, surprised I haven't seen anything like it before. If we lived in the same world as ultra beasts things would be nightmarish. Also, way too many people in this comments section who think they can defeat ultra beasts that, if they're on par with legendaries, are capable of handling blasts with the power of the sun or equivalent to flamethrowers. Bullet punch does ohko Nihilego at the very least, due to the steel weakness and low physical bulk. The shotgun is probably normal/steel type, so nihilego would be the only UB you could take down with guns

These are different types of resistances. A fire blast packs a different type of force than a small, sharp piece of metal going SEVERAL times the speed of sound. No matter how tough their hide is, how strong or fast they are, there will always be a calibre capable of piercing through these things. We have engineered things like Kevlar to RESIST bullets, but significant impacts from the same calibre or even a higher calibre will pierce right through it.

That or you could defeat them in battle. Ultra beasts are still pokemon with typing and weaknesses to exploit, and a seasoned battler could handily take advantage of this. Nihilego can be dispatched by any decently bulky ground type (or steel if it’s not weak to ground), and in general UBs have very lopsided stats, so you can take advantage of lots of them and hit them on the side they’re squishiest. Even the might of legendary pokemon can hardly stand up to human strategy.

Counterarguments for the first two: The dogman having a human body is probably detrimental to its combat ability, since humans are not naturally endowed with natural weaponry (if it can use human items that's a whole different story). The mattresses, i could be wrong but i don't think EVERY mattress is a monster in disguise, and even if they all are, there's other places you could sleep. A hammock, a futon, a couch, the back row of your car if you're desperate, etc. Nothing says you can't sleep at all, just that you shouldn't sleep on living mattresses in warm conditions

when I saw the intro I was like: "yeah the king salmonids destroy me with bad randoms" but mister grizz? yeah I beat him before. (even tho I would not put him on the list. if there was a canon policeforce in splatoon, Octavio would have been cooked way faster in 1 and 2. and if it wasn't for deep cut being on a treasure hunt in the crater, or Octavio joining forces with his nemisises, Grizz would have won. bro took 5 of the Now or never seven, 2 more agents, the leader of the octarian army and a fish G-maxing to beat.)

My predictions if I faced these threats without any prior knowledge: 1. Dog nightmares. Probably less threatening than a rabbid dog, so I can win unless I'm caught offguard while sleeping or it can wield weapons. If I'm not caught unaware and it doesn't have weapons, I can either defend myself with a kitchen knife or run away, and call for help, describing it as a man in dog's mask to the police so they don't think it's a prank. 2. Fleshbed. For my matresses I use slightly too-big covers, so I'd probably notice the difference after it replaces my matress. However, unless government already shared information on it, I wouldn't know what I'm dealing with until it's too late. That said, nights are fairly cold where I live most of the time. 3. Ultra beasts. I'd probably live, if pokemons were real I'd become a trainer for sure, so I'd have means to protect myself. 4. Grizzco tapes. Get the f*ck out of there and report to police, and it's over. 5. Adult swim killer. I don't have a twitter account, and rarely socialise on the internet, preffering direct human contact. So I wouldn't fall for that killer's games. And if I did, I'd probably be able to survive thanks to contacting proper authorities, I also use public transport everywhere in hours when it's full so on one hand it'd be easy for stalker to blend in, but on the other hand they'd have difficulty getting a chance to kill me. 6. Doors. I wouldn't try to open a door that suddenly appeared in my home, I'd call authorities right away. So I might be able to survive. 7. Delta P. I don't work with pools or similiar water sources. Another W for me.
