My biggest issue with the game is how Unhanded it is. You are just left to figure out everything on your own, this is one of those games I’ll say is so complicated that anybody under the age of 16 cannot and will not be able to complete it there is 0 direction in this crap. For all the people who think there is just a dead ash at the top your at the wrong tower, you are at the divine tower of Liurnia. They look identical. You must be on the broken bridge tower called the divine tower of Limgrave. The right tower is further south on map over the broken bridge.

I love the community of Elden Ring, with the ability to post comments anywhere there's always a nook or cranny with the words "Hidden path" or something like that. The ability to troll but to also give advices like hinting that you'd need to shoot those flamethrower traps to deactivate or enemy ambushes is such a clever idea on a semi-multiplayer RPG like Elden Ring. This place has to be the best place to put "boss ahead" with how much walking you need thinking it's all a build up to an even greater bossfight. That's how I felt when climbing the tower.

@@overscore2097 it'll be in your helmets. It's a helmet. Took me a sec to find it too. You'd think it'd be a talisman or something. It significantly boosts ash of war damage. Significantly. So if you get a crazy good weapon witg a crazy good ash of war, there are many, this thing absolutely shreds. There's several different scarab helmets that give major boosts to certain thing, while nerfing your def or increasing mana cost. But if you stack a bunch of boosts and have a good ash of war, you can down shit fast enough where it doesn't matter.

You defeat godric before going to the castle/towers. After fighting him, you can then explore the castle and make your way to the specific tower and grace site. Teleport to where you killed him and run up the road.

its by the entrance, just follow the map. when you go through the main gate passed the flying arrows and get to the first barricade go right and there should be another gate there or an entrance.

Easiest way to get rune arcs is to help someone defeat a boss. Just put down your summon sign at easy bosses.

I equipped Godrick's great rune today after beating him. And it raised my attributes strength, dexterity and vigor by +5. All other attributes didn't raise. This without consuming any rune arc. To confirm this, select "status" option from menu (not from a site of grace) and see if any of your attributes are raised +5. Keep in mind if you're checking your stats through "level up" menu at a site of grace, you will not see any changes in your attributes. Hope this helps

When you read the rune it says it grants x on use. This should be when it is equipped. I'm not sure if it's a bug or not that It isn't passive. The rune arc is supposed to "strengthen the effect" so it shouldn't be required to gain the bonuses from the great rune. At least that's how it reads. Maybe I'm wrong. Hopefully it's just a bug and they can hot fix it soon.

Yeah im not about items that temporarily increase resistance and attributes, etc etc. Just give me the passive and I'll be on my way. Its almost not worth it. Say you want to use it on a boss fight, run in there all attributes boosted, get 2 shot and say goodbye to the buff!

Rune Arcs can be easily farmed fighting boss enemy's with others. If you will summoned from another player and you beat a boss, you will always get a rune arc.

And as big of a story item the great runes are I'm kinda disappointed they basically do nothing unless you use a expensive consumable item to get the benefit. It's not a bug. The items are incredibly powerful, and they do not want you to have these super powerful perma-buffs. The rune arcs are the balancing item that make it not so powerful by way of limiting your use of the great runes power. It's a design feature, not a bug. Rune arcs aren't hard to get for free. Simply hunt rats which have a chance of dropping one (low) or simply defeat an area boss or like enemy as a summoned coop partner.

That seems fair to have like +1 to all attributes without a rune arc added and then +5 to attributes with the rune arc consumable. It's not expensive at all to consume a lot of Rune Arcs tbh, just help some other players out as a coop here and there during boss fights (your reward is allways a Rune Arc) and you can easily stack them in your inventory in no time.

You will get *plenty* of rune arcs just playing the game normally so long as you aren't activating every life. Save it for if you die to a boss and want to retry, or if you want to invade

@@soleil2947 I know but +5 to all attributes won't save me, dying is a big part of the game, there shouldn't be any boss reward mechanic where I have to reactivate it after every death, it's annoying and stupid, they should just give us +2 to all attributes and make it passive if they think +5 is OP, that would still be helpful in terms of meeting stat requirements.

You can get plenty of Rune Arcs and Furlcalling Finger Remedies from helping other people beat bosses. So next time you're at a boss, spend a while helping people, you'll get runes as well and it's really rewarding when you help someone get past a boss they've been stuck on. It's okay if you want to tackle bosses on your own, but there's nothing wrong with being summoned to help others who like the multiplayer aspects. Plus you might learn a thing or two.

If you can charge heavy a golem twice they always get staggered and fall down you can do this and just cheese them really easy. I don't know if it's just because of my build but I've tried it with several builds and got the same result. Idk worth trying tho

i dont think this is a glitch and is a gameplay choice as they seem to be going for having a item very similar to hummanity and embers where now you can choose what effects you want from it along with the added hp, i dont think it would make much sense to be able to choose a pernament upgrade to every skill at once just for equiping it at all times.

@@janedoe186 on use would be equipping it. The rune arc is supposed to strengthen the effects.

@@aaronhicks2092 where does it say "strengthen"? genuinely asking here, again if you just select rune arc in the item menu it states in the item description and I quote: "grands the blessing of an equipped great rune". What gets strengthend is the effect of the rune arc, since you can use it without a great rune.

@@aaronhicks2092 nvm I found it, if you go to the great rune menu explanation it says rune arcs "give the great runes an even greater effect" yeah that doesn't seem right, maybe a translation error or something we don't know yet?
