Rusty mentioned in the intro that he was ranking everything in the list from the perspective of using it as a weapon because he already ranked the shields in terms of blocking or other benefits they provide. Their content probably differs too much from each other for that to work. Rusty's rankings seem to be more focused on providing entertainment, whereas Youwy's rankings are more informative and objective in nature.

Messmer Soldier Shield being this low when it's literally the best shield for Carian Blade build is a crime. You wear the Haima crown and voila, you have the requirement in an astrologer starting class. And with scholar shield it has the stability of a great shield. And it's so light. It's crazy. This being so low, I don't get it.

You probably skipped the criteria part as well, but he even mentioned them whilst discussing various shields. Basically, MSS is an awesome shield, meaning a great blocking/parrying/waiting tables tool. But it's also a garbo weapon, meaning an offensive boss killing/trashmob cleaning/L2 spamming/etc. tool.

Thats why I made a habit of never looking at the chat in a streamers vod. Rusty´s list could have been perfect and objective and there would still have been 10 people saying this list is garbage and he is the worst human being on youtube.
