A cool fact about Helldivers 2: We were given a "major order" which is a community goal essentially. Free one of 2 planets from the automatons. 1 would give the players a new weapon, the anti tank mines. The other planet has no reward, but contains 4,311 children in "super citizen anne's hospital for very sick children". Even with the promise of no reward, the players chose to save the children in game, against all expectations. Necause we did this, the CCO of the developer donated US$4,311 to the real Save The Children charity. It was awesome.

Yes! Secret Level is a fun idea. One of my friends from my old job worked on Exodus (a featured game in secret level) a game that will be out this year hopefully. It’s great. All the aliens (well a lot of them) are off shoots of humanity in some way. Theres already a book out for the game.

A lot of the hype for the Elden Ring trailer comes from it showing different aspects from all the different games in the Soulsborne series - which is something a lot of people never expected them to commit to. That guy who was riding the dragon and throwing lightning - he was a fan favorite boss from Dark Souls 3.

16:00 Onimusha was one of Capcom's big franchises in the early 2000 While it is easy to call it "Resident Evil in Feudal Japan", the games are so much more It does share the same designs as the early RE games, precalculated 3d environement with a fixed camera view, and your character moving around the place. Themes of Horror and thriller with some action,Onimusha was a bit more actiony than RE, In RE your ammo is limited and you don't have much inventory space to manage with limited savepoints across the game. While onimusha allow for swordplay and the use of Magical powers. They share the same gameplay loop of searching for clues and key items in the environement to backtrack to a place that was blocked before and allow for you to go forward, rinse & repeat. In the 1st game you where playing as Samanosuke a Samurai duty bound to the Princess of one of the Branch families who are fighting over the position of Daimyo(KIng) of Japan during the Waring Era. You rush to the place where the Princess was kidnaped by Monsters working for the "Demon Lord" Oda Nobunaga (Oda Nobunaga is a real life historical figure and was quite infamous for being a Brilliant but ruthless tactician, wich his enemies gave the nickname "Demon Lord") To fight the Demon soldiers and other surnatural creatures in your path, you'll need to use the Oni Gauntlet, a Sacred Treasure from the Oni clan (Spirit Ogres) that seek revenge on the Demons, the Gauntlet allows you to absorn the Souls of the Demons you vanquish and give you access to Powerfull Spiritual powers. This here will be the 5th game in the series. Fans are stoked sicne the last game was like 2006-2008. You should watch the trailers/cinematics for each Onimusha games, they are peak.

Borderlands is a series driven by its gameplay (as a first person looter shooter, optimal for mindless fun), vibes, locations and enemies. The better installments add interesting story and characters to the mix and have the omnipresent humorous tone land more often than not. Helldivers 2 is a more hardcore coop mission based shooter from the third person perspective. You definitely will need to think more moment to moment even on lower difficulties.

I played all four of the Onimusha games when I was younger. Short version is you're a samurai fighting demons. Their enemy, the oni give you a gauntlet that lets you harvest their souls to empower yourself (that's what you could see moving into his fist). It's been a while since the last Onimusha game so fans will be interested.

Helldivers is heavily inspired by the satirical sci-fi movie Starship troopers. It's a 4 player shooter where you cooperate to complete a set of goals whilst fightning giant bugs, robots, or in the case of this new expansion, some kind of alien race turning civilians into zombies. It's all very tounge in cheek and quite funny. You should look up a video of people playing it, most of them are hilarious only because the inherrent chaos of the gameplay makes for some very funny accidents among the players.

The beauty of borderlands is for the most part you make it either about the story or the world. You can sprint the story but if you explore the worlds, you get random stories all over the place. Some that actually expand and explain things about the main story but also some that are just total nonsense that fits with the world.

Onimusha is the best and my most favorite game series since it's first day launch on PS2. I played all of them, it's an action puzzle game like classic Resident Evil but more in the tone of Fantasy than sci-fi. To simplified the story of this game. Samanosuke a skilled and honorable samurai who fight against demon of Hell and other mutated demonic being called Genma. The protagonist Samanosuke stumbled upon an ancient relic that is a gauntlet with the power of Oni (giant) who had fought against the Genma for ages, it grants him the power to capture the lost soul (those fireball) of defeated Genma so they can never be use or spawn as monstrous being again, it also grants him various powerful elemental power weapons. Samanosuke nemesis is Oda Nobunaga, the possessed evil warlord of Japan who sold his body and soul to the Genma king for power to conquer Japan (and eventually the whole world). It's a story rich series that is full of interesting stories/lore/background of many things from the most horrible Genma general to the mysterious figures who help the protagonist through out the series. Currently there are four main games in the series that is 1, 2, 3, and Dawn of dream (4). Then there's this one spinoff game which is a preuel to the story of the third game.

Mostly story driven, but you dont get options besides some minor side quest sometimes where two different crazy clans want you to betray the other and kill them, instead of themselve... which normally does not have any further consequences, sometimes even both betray you afterwards, no matter what. So like 2 of 80 quests in borderlands 2 had options to pick and most would never come up again afterwards.

People been waiting *years* for Crimson Desert to come out lol. Elden Ring NightReign is set in the same universe as Dark Souls. It's will be played like Fortnite where the map shrinks over time and it forces you to fight the boss at the end of each round. Some of the bosses and characters are from the Dark Souls game series like the Nameless King (the guy on the dragon throwing lightning bolts) and the Firekeeper (the lady with the mask on)...people are going wild for this game.

so, with borderlands it's a first person shooter, like doom, and has a story (how good that story is, remains to be seen), hell divers 2 is basicly star ship troopers - the game, satire gallore and shooting despicable bugs and communist robots for the glory of super earth and spreading managed democracy across the galaxy. crimson desert is likely similar to the mmo (lots of players running around in a shared world) black desert by the same developer, lots of hacking and slashing and from the trailers seems to be more like elder scrolls or dragons dogma in that it's focused on telling a story but with choices along the way. elden ring nightreign is, according to the website a coop-rouge lite, meaning you team up with other players to tackle bosses and other enemies while picking up randomly generated upgrades along the way, so that each run is a bit diffrent, not much is known at the moment, we might get more info closer to realease, as is typical. in relation to elden ring itself, the game is an open world exploration game with a heavy emphasis on challenge, nightreign will likely be similar. onimusha is a very old franchise, not much known at the moment, but judging by the trailer you encounter monsters and kill them?

Yes Secret Level is amazing, recommended. Tho warning with your concept, there are at least 2 games/episodes, that are still not released, but annouced. So there is not much information. One is completly mystery, one had trailer during Game Awards last year. Borderlands is just crazy looter shooter, with tons of pop culture references. It is not game that take serious approach much, but just having fun with everything. I played first game, you enjoy it mostly with friends (hence 4 characters), 2 used to be the best than it had ton of different games (I think 3) which some were kinda good some where kinda bad, so people awating some new fresh air in Borderlands. Trailer didin't show much. The story is mostly like sauce om top of things I think. You finding cool and weird weapons, you level up your character, coop with friends and than there is some story. I think Handsome Jack was praised vilian in Borderlands universe, so it has some moments, but it is not going to be story driven game that you would imagine. It is most of series something extra. Helldivers is Starship Troopers. That is going to say it all. Again coop shooter, friendly fire on, you going to die a ton it stormed heavily last year and was almost most popular game. Helldivers, well you dive into hell, you drop onto planet finish the task and go back. You have space ship, there is like progresing story, where you have galaxy map and there are aliens attacking or you are, you working on with other people to finish like global events, dynamics events changing things on map (for example one planet was so heavily infested by bugs, it was turned into blackhole). It is like small artifical living enviroment. Trailer, they added new fraction so now there are 3, bugs, robots and these aliens + now there are cars. Crimson Desert Masive Multiplayer Online game. So you playing with lot of people game. Eldering going to get some expansion again in multiplayer. Regular game is souls like. again you die a lot and it is very hard core games. Something that might be interesting you is, GRR Martin worked on backstory of Elder Ring game, but problem is you have to do a lot, like collecting items in game and read every description to get even slight hints of story, because it is not much present or explain with you playing the game. Last two game sorry don't know at all. I'm walking gaming encyklopedia, but these are new one I think. Onimusha is something like Seekiro or Ghost of Tsuhima. Last game seems to be like fun or boring it depends how they do it, I never heard of it.

A lot of these trailers felt like things that are appreciated more by folks who have the context for them lol Elden Ring was amazing if you're a FromSoftware fan because of all the allusions to their previous games as well as the new gameplay/movement mechanics shown in the trailer Helldivers 2 relies on at least a baseline knowledge of the comedy of the game (think Starship troopers) Borderlands 4 shows a war between two factions which you are on neither side of. lol Crimson Desert feels like it's only interesting if you've watched the other trailers too. Onimusha was hype because it's a beloved franchise that hasn't had a new entry in 13 years.

I have not played the Jesus game. I however think it is kind of cool that the game is in first person. I like it because it gets around the whole what did Jesus look like debacle. Not that it is necessarily wrong with depicting Jesus I just think its cool. Of course this is just based on the trailer. It is possible that he gets depicted for instance in a mirror reflection from the water or in a cutscene.

Borderlands is weird, the first one had barebones story, fallout-esque world, barely any humor aside from occasional bleak black humor. The second one had a lot more diversity in locations, funny silly characters, amazing villain, but started dating itself with some trendy 2011 humor. BL3 explored the galaxy rather than sitting on the one planet but pushed the trendy meme humor to its limit, making constant zingers and jokes, but BL4 is going to reportedly cut back, focusing on black/dark humor rather than silly trendy, hawk tuah memes. I hope the best for it and it's story

Hey hannah longtime fan, i think you would love kingdom hearts and highly recommend you check it out. The story is so silly. Its about an anime boy who saves disney worlds from darkness monsters with his friends donald and goofy.

with most games you dont make alot of decisions. any decisions you make are kinda pointless as the story is already set in stone. games like mass effect have choices you can make where the game is already set in stone, but depending on the choices you make, the journey can change quite abit to the point you can play through like 3 or 4 times making different choices. where as a game like baldur's gate 3 has choices that makes things radically different basically every time you play through.

3rd engagement bump. It sucks that you didn't get into Mass Effect. The first game is clunky AF mechanically, for sure. Have you considered the PlayStation route? Mass Effect was Xbox only, but ME2 was cross platform. So PlayStation players got a long recap and a multi choice start to rhe game (iirc) Mass Effect 2 is much smoother to play and would still make a good start for the series. Generally considered the best of the series anyway. It's so good, Hannah. The story, the characters, the consequences of your decisions playing out as you progress. One of the very best.

Huh.. That I don't know. Maybe rights have changed since the initial release? I know my 360 copy has the exclusive tag and remember my PS friends being pissed they didn't have it. Beyond that, I dunno. I'm a part timer in the gaming scene these days. =/ No time to keep up with the industry lore.
