I've said it before, but keep up the great content! You literally got me through DS3, 6 years after the game released. In the case of Elden Ring, I felt you did a superb job of explaining stats, weapon scaling, talismans, etc to the newcomer, as well as clarification of other elements to the veteran. The worst thing is combining Radagon Soreseal with Bullgoat claiming it's worth it, as damage absorption is a substracted percentaged of incoming damage after physical defense calculation: Bullgoat set gives you 45 physical resist, meaning physical damge is reduced by 45% You only take 55% of incoming damage Soreseal reduce absorption by 15%, your new physical absorption is now 30% You now take 70% of incoming damage So a 1000 damage attack would go from doing 550 to 700 damage with soreseal equiped, That's a 27% increase. Sure, if you're wearing no more than God has gifted you upon your birth, you's go from 0 to -15 absorption, wich would be a 15% increase in damage taken, but because of how absorption works, These idiots are chunking almost a third of their survivability for some barely noticeable stat increase.

soreseals i feel are hardcapped at their worth at around rune level 150ish. they arent worth the 5 point increases to take the at least 15% damage increase. pve wise they may be somewhat viable but for pvp i dont think they are really ever worth it

Cowboy putting the truth out there! :) Btw. Chase used Dragonking's Cragblade to trade into attacks he couldn't ordinarily poise through, in his weapon showcase - it's unintuitive for such a long range AoW, but worked much better than expected!

For trades it's definitely good but I would not classify it next to rivers and blood and stuff like that in terms of ease of use cuz it's super easy to dodge if you see it coming

it doesnt even have to be used at range. The buffs to it make it really easy to throw your opponent off guard, and it does insane damage. Just make sure you arent taking it to full charge, and understand its range and you can be one or two shotting people in no time.

After hundreds of hours doing pvp at lvl150 , I came 2 conclusion : 1-90% use heavy armor no matter what the build . 2- 99% spamming large AOE spills hoping it connect. 3- 90% use more than 2 buffs , it’s like the dmg is not enough so they wanna 1shot u or minimally 2shot u .

This is my pvp experience every time I invade. I get 3v1'd and then they emote after acting like they did something special when it took 3 people to kill me. I love this game but that aspect of only invading hosts with phantoms is garbage.

I was thinking, “why would he be level 209?” Usually by the end of the game, you’ll be at the level you want, on NG+, or actively trying to level up to your desired level. Then it hit me, it might even explain why some of the opponents are unaware of the incoming spells they get hit with: there’s probably a weird level range beyond 150 but below any other reasonable level caps, full of folks just limping through the game, not learning how to git gud but instead just moonveil/RoB/etc their way through

i use sacred relic sword for faith/strength PVP and it’s an easy move to dodge, if anything it brings in duelists toward me for an easy jump attack or honed lightning strike

It's been a very popular weapon right from the start, kinda the first weapon that everybody was using. And rightfully so. It gets extremely good damage, way more than any other curved greatsword and the aow is also pretty good although in pvp the first part is easy to parry and the second easy to backstab.

If you get good at aiming it and mixing up the timing it's hard for a lot of people to stop, especially because you can damn near one shot with it.

Sacred relic sword is not complete trash in pvp, its straight up broken. The wave is desynced super often, you can get hit when the wave is 2m in front of you or if it has already passed you. This inconsistency makes it impossible to dodge reliably

there's actually a shit ton of people playing at level like 250 plus. Casual players don't care about the meta PVP level and just keep leveling their character. You can get instant back to back invasions with ease around level 200-300

My first Playthrough I started using Bloodhound step. Then after midgame I realize wtf I was doing I'm wasting Fp just to dodge and get out the fight then I have to use that again to get in the fight. I was just dodging everywhere like a prime Noob. My asked myself why should I use ash of war? It suppose to do dmg not to dodge. Then I change its ash of war to unsheathe. And since then if I'm not running from Chariots I don't use Bloodhound step or Rot poison areas. but this is maidenless behaviour bull goat armor+ bloodhound step. A new level of Cancer.

RoB is easy to dodge as long as you are expecting something and ready though its op trash, hand of Malenia is useful for mixups but not much other use I have found for it, sacred relics weapon art has desync which is why people think it is good since it becomes hard to dodge. Hoarfrost is actually good, but not op, horah loahs is ok in some situations, but trash most of the time, bhs is broken op trash. Fires deadly sin bloodflame is a glitch and is cheating, point down to ign and all who use it. Shields are honestly kind of cancer, have been messing around with random shields, many are op, especially alone. Stars of Ruin is cancer. Frenzied flame seal is bad usually. Radagon icon is useless at 70 dex, shard of alexander is pretty op, radagons seals are trash unless you are below 80, any resistance talisman is mostly useless in pvp since it is scaled down. 60 vigor is important, but bleed is a percentage of health. Most buffs are not affected by stats. Arcane gets about 1-2 extra proc points. Crystal knot is useless, bubble tear is trash, dont use it use the perfume if you want it, and use the one that gives extra half health bar. Crimson tears in duels is scummy. Bloodhounds is actually really good, but with exploits makes you scum. Erdtrees favor is not very good, but works to give a bit of extra hp endurance and carry weight. IGN is MAIDENLESS, trying to run from an exploit is not bad, heck dodging and running is not bad, its what the game wants. Honestly, you were great for both us hardcore dudes, and the casuals. Also, for good pvp players I can guarantee JeeNiNe though he is a literal sweat but talented and pretty cool to watch and probably the best player, ChasetheBro who is super nice, and makes all sorts of greats builds and will answer questions when he sees them, Oroboro who is great, one of the og youtubers of these games, Peeve Peeverson who while he does not upload for years on end at times he is great and an og of the series, Fightin Cowboy who is here obviously, Games4days who I have not seen upload much recently but he is often busy with work, but makes great fun builds and is great and super nice, Fighter PL who is great also and a bit of a troll god, and there are more but those are some off the top of my head.

Totally agree that RoB is trash. I do not invade, nor play duel. However, I do play coop and help people fight bosses. So I do get invaded. Occasionally I encounter RoB spammer users. All of them are skillless spammer. Their attacks are extremely easy to doge. They insist on completing the whole moveset with three input consisting of six attacks, which fix them in the animation. I normally dodge to their back, and use my grave scythe, equipped with sword dance and infused with blood, to teach them how I bleed build should look like. Man, those spammers are certainly not arcane build player and their RoB may have at most 60-70 build loss. But my grave scythe has over 130. I don't understand why RoB is good.

@@vincenthychow1119 damage wise rob is good.. 70 bloodloss is when u have around 40 arcane.. The problem with rob is not pve because it delete boss who not imune to bloodlost instantly.. The prblem is when u pvp its very easy to dodge.. Some mindlet build with no proper knowledge will. Suffer because they dont have the patient to bait the animation and some. With range atk will punish this moveset in every oportunity.. All in all the one who think rob is op pvp mostly noob.. If u see their. Character name involving their salt againts rob they mostly just pushover

@2:52, that’s actually not correct. Since they copied and paste most rings and mechanics from DS3, fat rolling has the exact same s as medium rolls and light rolls, but you don’t have a much slower recovery time after the roll when fat rolling @4:05, the reason people thing Sacred relic sword is good in pvp is because of the Desync issues, most of the time where the game is showing your opponent that your attack is, is not actually where the hit box is. Similarly to why people thing Bloodflame blade, and Bloodflame weapons, are better than they are is because of the Desync and they still apply bleed even if the attack misses or is dodged.

One thing the only way to go 100+ poise is to use bull goat taliaman. And having 101 i belive does not allow for any true combos like storm stomp+ atack, jumping 2h heavy thrusting sword r1 into another r1 so there is some method to this madness. But yeah the build suckks

@@thermalshoes Chase is good but you never ever see him do live streams invading at meta....why...because he would lose much more frequently andhe is a salty loser. He sticks to mid/low level invasions because he knows he would have a much harder time beating 3 man ganks at meta. If you want to see THE best meta pvp player that can easily deal with 3 man meta ganks you need to check out Jeenine...arguably the best DS3/Elden Ring player there is.

@@edk6593 I could not disagree with you more. I personally don’t care for Jeenines content and I think he complains too much about the game. Also, there is no such thing as invading at meta. Meta only exists for dueling. And the reason that Chase and so many other streamers stay below 100 for invasions is because you get actual invasions at those levels and people who are naturally plying the game, not people who just exploit glitches and wait around for invaders to gank to death. Nothing wrong with either way of playing though. But I do feel invasions are significantly more natural under 120

@@edk6593 I don't know about ER, but Chase did a ton of DS3 live streams and rarely lost. The fact he has a killer PC that rarely lags or has low FPS also helps. I am by no means on his level but I've died many times in PvP due to framerate. To be fair though, beating ganks with one shot builds is far more difficult in ER.

So, I'll say there are a bunch of weapons that you can eke out more AR out of if you play around with the STR/DEX spread. Not all scaling values quite capture the severity of some of the curves, where individual weapons will drop off in AR return on investment before the generic soft-caps. Check out a few of ChaseTheBro's builds (St. Trina is the newest, and is an example) to see what I mean. That said, Level 209 with a jank half-quality build is *not* an example of this. I mean I think it's a decent effort troll from IGN. Yeah, just wear heavy in a souls game is hardly a hot take, lukewarm by this year but this is more like "wear full heavy and now use a Radagon's Soreseal to compensate for the levels invested on endurance." So I feel bad for the dude, but he’s not doing enough research. I’m sure it’s scripted, but what’s sad is that people are going to the IGN video for advice on PVP builds (thank god for us?). The information just isn’t actually accurate. I mean, Cowboy and some other great channels specialize in FromSoftware games, has for a long time, and their channels is where I’d go for PVP information - not IGN. Even some of the info for PVE in the IGN video was off. Damn…that really sucks. Hard to justify this IGN “advice”, but being a part timer for pretty technical games like ER…and giving PVP advice…it just isn’t going to work - period.

Dude has 100+ poise but dmg Physical negation 29 at level 200+. My Recent build below level 90 has less than 30 poise but I have physical negation 35. And I also have more overall dmg negation than him without wearing Bull Goat set xD. This alone prove how dumb this guy is. Looks like someone Task a First time souls Player with a little knowledge to make a video for their Channel. Radagon Soarseal or Erdtree favor even Godrick Great Runne doesn't give much points at max level like 60. No point using any Soarseal's when You are at soft or hard cap cause the negative dmg negation is huge in PVP. Only Great rune I like most is Radhan's it gives around 200+ Hp at 60 vigor a Good amount of Fp and Stamina. Morgott Great runne I think give more Hp But that only increase one stat where Radhan increase 3 stats. Opaline Bubbletear is trash. It only absorb one attack. But if You like using it use Uplifting aromatic. You can use it 10 times also it gives 10% attack boost 7.5% PVP and it does that same barrier thing which Opaline bubbletear does. Dragoncrest Greatsheild is utterly useless in PVP it negates only 5%. He didn't even mention Consumable buffs like Boiled Crab or Prawn to boost physical dmg negation or Exatled Flesh to buff attack power guess he doesn't know about those xd. For tears I'd go for max stamina increase and Hp Increase things at max level Because I like using Prayerful strike on this build cause it heals me 30% of my max Hp and it scales with max Hp. Other time below 60 I'd use anything that last 3 minutes like shrouding Cracked tears or strength/dex etc knot crystal tears depending upon my build after reaching hard cap say 66 strength I don't need strength knot tear anymore. For other stats different builds I'd Go 70 then use that same knot tear to reach that hard cap 80. My First Playthrough I really like Twiggy Cracked tear cause I don't know many weapons or many enemies (PVE) attacks So I can feel free to do anything without worrying about lossing anything. At max level like 200+ You can cast 10 different spells but before reaching that point You should have that knowledge about alternative choices. And In PVP Why would anyone let You sit and watch so You can cast 10 different spells on Yourself and then You start using Bloodhound step and You talk about how to punish people who dodges. The only person I see dodges its You. A smart Player will let you use all Your 10 different spells then he will use Law of Regression to remove Your buffs then good luck using Bloodhound step to get out on low FP For This Type of Players SHOW NO MERCY when they are drinking Blue flask. As soon as they are in that animation kill Them. This is Exactly "How to NOT Make a PvP Build". Well Said CB as always. It was Indeed a Quality Entertainment.

Since getting the Platinum in Elden Ring I've played through Wonderlands and am finally working on the platinum in Sekiro atm. Did this guy really use Ekzyke's Decay? In PvP? Ekzyke's Decay doesn't even work that well against humanoid enemies in the singleplayer game, they just dodge away. In PvP your opponent can just spam dodge and maybe, *MAYBE* build like, 1/4th of the Rot bar. I feel like out of all the Dragon options Ekzyke's Decay is the worst since it heavily relies on its rot effect. Unless ofc, you use Hidden Tear, which btw, they aren't doing so so idek what the point of having Ekzyke's Decay on is. Also WHAT? Did this person even play the game? He doesn't even know how Opaline Bubbletear works...

Honestly, I'm playing the game and continuously leveling when possible. I am currently at RL 234, I don't really care about pvp but i haven't had any problem finding people to invade or be invaded by. My build is not great as it's for pve however I've had plenty of fun. It consists of 2 Lightning Naginatas, a frenzied flame seal, and a Carian Brass Shield. I wear bull goats armor with the corpse imp head, my talismans are the Great-Jar, Shard of Alexander, and both Marikas and Radagons Soreseals. My stats are Vigor 65 Mind 25 Endurance 60 Strength 65 Dexterity 95 Intelligence 14 Faith 19 Arcane 12 I tend to use the taunters tongue at the Boilprawn Shack. I don't use the naginatas for bleed, i just like the look.

Eh, I sort of agree on only one thing he mentioned that you disagreed with. (I want to point out that the rest of the points FC and I agree on) but Radagons Soreseal at lower level is actually pretty good. I pvp with it on constantly and yes the benefits outweigh the cons when I dont have the extra points to wield a certain weapon. There is a video out there that proves with numbers and stat breakdown that you take less damage with it on than you would have without it bc the boost to HP. I dunno, it seems fine to me to use.
