So, I wanted 2 great stars in one run and he drops one (the other is in that caravan). I have progressed through Varre’s entire quest line previously (doing the online method) and the summoning sign did show up even end game. I was able to kill him first try and now have 2 great stars, thanks!

to the people who are trying for varre's quest offline. you can kill the NPC and go back to Church of Rose where Varre is and in return he gives you a cloth. So yes, Killing the NPC works too. No worries. I just did it.

@@kukuhriyadi6348 You or your friend must open the world to wanderers using the Tiny Great Pot. After the world has been opened use the Effigy of Malenia to join the world. Go both to the location in the video and invade Magnus the Beast claw

I defeated him, got the rune arc and everything but the the blood summon not gone it is still there, wth happen bryh?? Cannot progress

Just do the volcano manner. I was doing this and got mad that I couldn't progress. But by reading both the letters in the volcano manner and doing them they'll count. And there both relatively easy. As my save has 21 vigor. And I only died to both once. The second one has a crossbow so I recommend making him use his crossbow and then hitting with a jump R2 then keeping your distraction to were he'll use his crossbow and when hes out of flasks hell use his dagger more so be careful. And with the first one just run and use jumping R2's you'll see why. Happy hunting.

@@hexblad3 I am. I’m pretty sure this method works when you’re offline in vanilla but not when you use seamless co-op. I think we are just stuck. You will need ti advance the game past morgot before you can access mohgwyn palace.
