Im like 24 hours in and still haven’t really explored anything past limgrave and the weeping peninsula. The only 2 main bosses i’ve beaten so far are Margit and Godrick. The amount of stuff you can do in this game is incredible !

The Baldachin's Blessing is a one-use item, and after using it, the HP debuff will go away. It comes back every time you hug her. It's a 5% debuff, so at higher vigor it can be quite a hit to your HP pool.

@@fallenredn9990 Liurnia and Raya Lucaria are Level 40 area, Caelid is more level 70-90 ish overall. Though that particular cave can be stormed earlier I suppose. It's not really that hard with enough vigor and some decent weapons.

It's always nice when all of these guys finally get out of the network test area and start seeing the new stuff. I mean I know the game is "new", but after all that network test footage, we've kinda SEEN the Limgrave area for a while now and seeing the other places is always nice. The world is huge and entirely open (eh, for the most part). Also, does killing Darrwil without Blaidd ruin that questline? Cowboy also needed to remember that sneaking and pulling foes is a perfectly good strategy. Probably would have made Castle Mourne look a bit more possible.

For anyone that has trouble with that knight boss. Keep your guard up & watch your guard meter. When it gets low run away. But take breaks running away so your stamina bar can go back up, so walk backwards instead of running to wait for stamina. Than continue the process.

So when you’re in the Dungeon, you can jump ontop of the Shack that you Spawned in from the Chest- Just walk out onto the sloped walkway in front of you and then use that area to get a running jump onto the Shack. You can then take the Ledge along the Wall to jump down into that Second Area. From here you can find the Dungeons boss and Some other Hidden Items. + This Comment so more People Can See.

It isn't too bad. Just keep distance and punish. This is coming from someone who never played a Fromsoft game until elden ring. Darwill is fast but he is SUPER squishy. I do have a fair bit of monster hunter experience though, and that may have helped.

Based on my observations: Fia's embrace gives you the Baldachin's blessing, which raises your poise, but it brings you closer to Death, thereby lowering your maximum health by a certain amount or percentage. Just use the blessing (the item in your inventory) to get rid of the debuff if you don't like it. I *THINK* the debuff actually slowly increases over time (it's kind of hard to tell because it's not shown in the status window, might be a bug), so this is just something you might want to stack up on if you are facing a tough fight where you need additional poise.

I killed Mad Tong as a level 8 wretch with the sword from the gate camp that you missed and the guard armor (forget what they’re called). It was BRUTAL and took me a few hours of failing, but man was it satisfying! And it made me really, really good at timing jump attacks.

If you talk to the black smith, then his daughter standing by the fire place next to the roundtable, then the black smith again, warp to the same roundtable to reset the map and go over to the blacksmith, his daughter will upgrade your spirit callings for you. Also go back to the shack lost grace site (forgot what it’s called but in the beginning area) and you’ll find a golden seed the blacksmiths daughter left for you

@@IRepko As far as im aware she shows up after a certain time orrr the more effective way would be to talk to her in the world. I cant remember where exactly but after that she shows up at the roundtable hold. I could be wrong, not 100% on this but i do know she is in the overworld to talk to.

So Interestingly enough and by pure coincidence, my homebrew world for my DnD Campaign is called Aeonia. Which has been running for about 4+ years now! It was a nice surprise seeing that there is a swamp with the same name in Elden Ring. So I can officially confirm that the Forlorn Hound Evergaol was definitely buffed big time, since you played it. I have yet to beat him. His move set is way more dynamic than what you saw. It is really hard to do a guard riposte and forget about jump attacks, he just teleports out of the way every time. Thanks FromSoft.

I rage quit from Elden ring a while back and I've decided to give it another go. I started watching your walk through but instead switched to this lets play. I prefer this one to the other one, the other one I feel like I'm cheating and losing the exploration part of it as you give everyone a really good start whereas I want to figure most of it out on my own. I watch this one to give myself some tips but whilst also make myself feel better about dying all the time haha. I'm knew to from software games so when I first jumped into Elden ring it was awfully confusing but I'm getting better haha.

Over the weekend I lost 6,111 runes 🤦‍♂️. The treasure chest that sucks you in a portal. Transports you ALL the way accross the map to the east with no ability to fast travel back. I got my ass kicked in that cavern and got one shot by those web spitting centipedes. Died trying to get back to my runes. Made it out of cave, found a checkpoint and got the fuck out of there. (For now) lol I went back to that first giant and farmed him about 6 times to make up for the lost runes. Now I dont feel so bad. Lol

The best part about the start of this video is that I was watching some of distortion2's first playthrough as well and he literally had the exact same reaction, 'oh, god I don't think I should be here. I almost wish I hadn't seen it so I could experience the same, but honestly spoilers for souls games have never bothered me, the challenge and the worldbuilding always suck me in even if I already know enemy placement and such.

You finished the game by now, but I haven't, so replying here. When you spawn in that hut in the mines, you can jump above to where the enemy was. I did and manged to get the incantation talisman at lvl 10. Was a sweet thing to have as a faith build.

Love the way you are playing this game so far Cowboy. It reminds me of so many other games, all in little bits and pieces, here and there along the way. It's an intriguing game to say the least. Skyrim SE comes to mind as does Morrowind and Dragon Age Inquisition, but again the referenced similarities observed by me are only fleeting and this is obviously a very much different "Stand Alone" game. I play my games on PC, so how do you think you'd go playing on this on PC. Not a requirement Cowboy, just asking out of curiosity. Personally, I think you'd knock it out of the ball park. I'm like a fish out of water with Xbox or PlayStaion etc. Grew up Playing on PC and it's just what I'm used to I guess. i just bought an unupgraded dagger at the roundtable shop and beat the invader with that by parrying him, the trick is to stay far away, that way he spams his magic and after hes done he usually charges at you and thats the attack you wanna parry, idk if its like in ds3 where you have a bigger parry window during running attacks but it sure felt like it. 1 parry with an unupgraded dagger does like 400 damage to him and he has about 1000 hp with 1 estus, so this is actually somewhat reasonable at the start of the game, still really hard tho.

First off screw those undergrounds mines, at lever 24 I fell victim to the chest during my Lets Play and I kid you not I was stuck there for a minute or two and finally I decided to rush out of it and then I realized I could escape once I was in the rotting area at the end.

As much as I enjoy "let's play..." series from Cowboy, this one got me frustrated a little bit due to the chaotic approach. That said, having played through closed network test I don't blame him for wanting to see what's out there before jumping deeper into Limgrave area. Still, early giving up on the miners in the tunnels cause of their tankiness could have been avoided by simply seeing what type of approach combat wise would work (heavy attacks in this case work really well this early in the game on these enemies)...

I was on a SL1 build and went into that chest before I got the girl for upgrading and the horse and it was a struggle getting back. I didn’t even know how to fast travel so at the swamp I didn’t know how to get back to the starting area. I started a new character and figured out how to fast travel in a place I wasn’t being murdered over and over then switched back to my lvl1 and got the efff out of there. Tough area early on to be in.
