I love the differences between the modern and older dragons, the modern dragons (Agheel, Borealis and others) are much more wyvern like, their bodies are bigger, they don’t use lightning and their screams are much more loud and lighter in voice depth While the older ones use more unorthodox spells and lightning, they’re smaller and thinner with 4 wings and more stony bodies, and their roars are much deeper and quieter I wonder what changes them, maybe evolution or different breeds?

It's not very original though, as it has been a pretty recurring theme in the Dark Souls games (dragons devolving from mystical four winged stone entities to serpentine two winged flesh beasts). The only difference is the lightning, which is basically a twist on Dark Souls lore where dragons' only vulnerability was lightning (as opposed to being their principal ability in Elden Ring).

Force players to attack the head for more damage, and punish players for attacking the legs with aoe attacks underneath it and repositioning. Also a gap closer to punish players that run away to heal. The moveset for this fight is really fun tho so I wouldn't remove anything, just add stuff to make it harder and punish players taking the easy way out more. Otherwise this fight is absolutely perfect and just needs more health because players fight it more often at end game rather than mid game.
@lunchsimulator3995 Жыл бұрын
@@Soft__lemons punish players for attacking the legs with aoe attacks That's what they were trying to do when they added the static shock. Fortissax has a localized thunderstorm (neat) around his body that, should you spend too long within the radius, inflicts a static charge (see 1:57), signifying that you're about to be struck by the red lightning that the first comment complained about. Fortissax's head hangs *just* outside of the storm radius, meaning that the only consistent method of dealing damage without putting yourself at risk of being static'd is to aim for the head. The issue is that most players don't seem to know that the storm even exists, and complain about "that constant red lightning bolt that follows you through the WHOLE FIGHT" and having to "wail on his legs constantly dodging instead of fighting him the way God intended," completely unaware that wailing on his legs is exactly what procs the lightning in the first place. Sorry about the tangent, 100% I agree that he could use a few adjustments such as more health, a gap closing attack, and more repositioning moves to further discourage ankle-biting. I'm just tired of people complaining about this, that, and the other thing about Fortissax, completely unaware that THEY are the reason why he can sometimes seem like an unbalanced mess.

The lichdragon Fortissax, a fallen icon of the once lording ancient dragons, second only to the mighty Placidusaxx. Companion of Godwyn, and defiler of death itself, fighting long and hard. The reward? Undeath, a twisted fetish of the great dragon's power, as his rotting shambling corpse, still robed in Majesty and lightning stalks his companion's curse, hunting any who would further defile his friend. And then you arrive, robed in a different type of undeath, unable to die, and yet still fighting onwards. Using tooth, claw, sword, breath, and blood. You reawaken a glimmer of his old courage, his dedication to the ancient dragons. His will to live, if only briefly, recalling his techniques taught and refined by his sister. His signature dual red lightning stakes. Almost as though he was aware of his fate, and wanted to fight as Fortissax, not the litchdragon. I love how the ancient dragons have such an elegant, intelligent way of fighting in Elden Ring. They aren't animalistic or sporadic like their counter parts in Dark Souls. Instead, the ancient dragons of Elden Ring act with style and prowess, even fashioning their own weaponry via the lightning magic they're able to channel(as is evident by Gransax's bolt, or the bolt that Placidusax plunges into the ground to cause that massive nuclear explosion in his arena). It was probably because you killed him too fast or you fought him before patch 1.03

@@mastija2081 he’s still bugged post 1.03 unfortunately, phase 2 triggering is a rare occurrence that only a lucky few get to witness lol

That’s weird, when I fight him it triggers every time
@yab31462 жыл бұрын
@@lothricknight4221 If you do too damage he doesn't activate phase 2 at around 60 percent like he's supposed to, but he may do the attack later. That is of course if you don't kill him quickly

This one the fromsoft bosses I will get them down to 1% hp and then PURPOSELY die so I can do the great dance with them all over again.

I fell in love with this boss the moment I saw him leap to the skies and summon a lightning sword to strike me. That, and the ost is godly.

wish i could fight this guy without doing fias questline

Why?
@Lepoetism2 жыл бұрын
It is easy to be honest, just keep letting her hug you until you get "talk in secret" option, exhaust her dialogue and she will give you a dagger, give it to D, reload the area, then go to the room near blacksmith Hewg, you will find D dead and Fia is next to him, talk to her and she'll disappear, now go to Nokron and kill the Valiant Gargoyles duo, it is not difficult, the gargoyles are the only PAINFUL thing to do to reach Fortissax.
@ama9385-w2g2 жыл бұрын
@@Lepoetism You dont have to even go that way if you travel through the leyndell dungeons and kill mohg the omen theres a hidden wall behind him follow down there and there'll be a hidden wall later on leading you to the deeproot
