i mean it is literally useless in these runs + it takes a few seconds to do + it makes you slower for a second. if he went out of his way to pick up everything, even if he doesnt need it, just because its there, would mean a lot of wasted time for pretty much no gain. at best he would probably gain some extra runes. it does bug me a little, but i do understand why they wouldnt pick up everything they see.

@@davechongle the thing is, lots of items are that way, but the effigy is right on the best path in multiple locations, and unless you're doing a world record run, all of the 2 seconds maximum it costs you really won't do much at all, it doesn't even give you a pop up like other items after the first time, so it's not half as slowing as picking up loot of any kind

If the goal of the weapon randomizer is weapon diversity during the bingos wouldn't it make sense to lower the smithing stone requirement for normal weapons? Maybe not as dramatic as the item randomizer's 1 smithing stone/level but maybe 2 each would do the trick?

what if for bingus you added more late game squares and although you start a new game you already have certain key locationes/graces such as haligtree unlocked. a player could choose to rush haligtree loretta, or a player could first do earlygame squares to level up before going to late game areas. either way bungis could have more square variety that way.

They're not sure if the randomized weapon will keep the +7, so it might be a waste. Also, you get +8 Rogier's Rapier after killing Godrick, so that is typically more on course for challenges, I think.

GG, but I feel like this could have been routed SO much better. If you were going to do 30 faith, why not get a spell that takes advantage of that? If you were going to do Greyoll anyway, why not do that first, hit the temple of dragon communion real quick, get a couple of spells? Then you're setup to absolutely wipe out all the bosses you encounter. Also, I don't think you even needed to fight that last tree spirit. As soon as you killed Greyoll, you should have headed back to the grace that's right there and leveled up. This is the better strat, even if you're short, because the fight goes faster, and you don't risk losing your runes. (Also, you don't have to "collect" the runes, not sure why you were standing around waiting for them lol). I think, with these changes, you could have ended this, like, 20 minutes earlier. (But, of course, hindsight is 20/20)

1. At 30 faith, the bleed club is just strictly more helpful and better/faster than 90% of incants, plus with them randomised there is more RNG in actually getting a useful one. 2. Dragon communion gives incantations, not spells, plus with them randomised he wouldn't be getting the good dragon breaths likely.

@@oakleyraverty1030 ...Spells are incantations. Spells are also sorceries. Spells is a catch all term for all magic. The bleed club doesn't benefit at all from his faith, was my point. My point was, if you're going to spend all those runes dropping levels into a stat, you might as well take advantage of it. But, I didn't think about it being randomized. Still, probably worth a shot, if he could have gotten one of the several one-shot incants, the rest of the run would have gone much smoother.

The weapon randomizer aspect still feels off to me, not only is it kinda oblique how the randomization works (which matters in the case of Bingo Brawlers being a broadcast event), but as Aggy points out, it's gonna be mostly starting weapon unless you find something super OP somewhere super accessible (like BHF at twin maidens). Either that or there's a couple of chests in limgrave and one in weeping with very small weapon pools to pick from, especially the Winged Scythe chest in weeping stands out to me because all the weapons have bleed and good range, and 2 out of 4 options are somber weapons with strong weapon skills.
