I’m far away from being able to do this at level 1 but I’m practicing on my main. I’m currently on Malenia and haven’t beaten the 2nd phase but my goodness it is so satisfying to learn to parry and dodge all of their attacks. The absolute most fun I’ve had playing this game and feels extremely rewarding. Update: I did! I beat Malenia!

Due to the way ER is designed it's perfectly possible to sneak and run by most anything in the game that isn't a boss... And even bosses can be run from and skipped if you're creative

This is actually the way I discovered on fighting her. At first I tried to use flames of the Redmane, only to find out it doesn’t do jack shit to her poise. Then I found out the dinner plate parry annihilates her poise in one go. Greatsword + Buckler = win
