GRRM loves turtles and usually wears a turtle pin so I'd like to think this character's inclusion is an homage to GRRM, who helped with a lot of the worldbuilding and lore in the game, which is fitting that a talking turtle gives you a lore and worldbuilding dump.

Yeah, I think Radagon and Rennala's marriage was also certainly something that GRRM wrote. And the tragic "breakup". He really does get us in that first part of the story. We think it's this salacious and scandalous situation where this guy who "looks attractive and is well educated" leaves his wife and children to "move up in the world", or because he's a religious fanatic who puts his allegiances to his God and Monarch before his duty to his heart and his family. He left a woman who he absolutely adored and who loved him back as well as 3 beautiful and rather perfect children, resulted in the demise of an entire kingdom in the process and became the bottom b!tch of a woman who looks down on him and a God who only uses him as a tool. And then we get to the statue and it gets even better 😂😂😂👌👌👌 GRRM is *the man*

Ranni and Rykard plotting to kill their Half-Brother, Malenia and Miquellas almost symbiotic relationship, Radagon (also marika, i guess?) leaving Rennala which sends her mad, Mohg and Morgott responding to their rejection from their family in completely different ways (Morgott embracing the order despite this, and Mohg completely rejecting it), whatever the fck Mohgs got going on with Miquella, all very GOT like with the family struggles

But in the end she stayed true to her decision. So he's just a part of her that disagree with her idea now, he is a conflict within herself, the other voice in yourself that said B when you want A
