A guide for creating a RL168 Madness build for PvP in EldenRing. Follow this guide to create an optimized FAITH build that can utilize Frenzied Flame Incantations to their full potential for online multiplayer in Elden Ring.

This is a completely optimized madness build with a tortured prisoner theme. To that end, I wanted to stick to using "improvised" weapons, mainly the shiv (bloodstained dagger). Daggers are pretty terrible for invasions, especially when they do split fire damage - but I mainly had the dagger for Endure. I lowered END to 29 in order to use the knife and not light roll.
There's lots of room for personalization if you're interested in using this template to construct a madness build of your own. I wouldn't go below 30 MIND, but you can take some points from VIG and END to put into STR/DEX and be able to use Vyke's War Spear. The Black Dumpling was used as it is one of the few madness-related items in the game, although I don't think I was ever able to proc madness on myself for a damage boost (not that this build needs it anyway).

Thank you to our invaders/recusants who helped raise the lift in The Divine Bridge(Leyndell) for that quick access to the Capitol. It was much worth, rather than attempting the ruptured flask fall shortcut, just use taunters tongue and pray somebody spawns at the bottom, it occured to me within 20 mins

Have you tried casting Inescapable Frenzy through the Frenzied Flame Seal? The Madness on the seal itself seems to apply to every tic of damage, so it spikes Madness procs even faster than a max Arc Dragon Communion Seal. Also I think the offhand seal bonus is disabled during the grab animation anyway.

you definitely don't need to, but sticking the frenzied flame seal in your other hand will boost the damage of your frenzy spells by 20%. less in pvp of course, but you can stack it with stuff like the fire tears in wondrous physick for i think a 37.5% damage boost? idk lol, that being said you definitely dont have to sweat that hard

sorry if its a dumb question but mind if i ask why you use the erd tree seal in your offhand instead of another frenzy flame seal?

The incantation scaling on the Erdtree Seal is significantly higher than the Frenzy Seal at 80 Faith. This is extra important when I need to use endure as my damage will still be extremely high.

In what regard? Like what do I hope to see or what do I think we’ll get? I expect the PvP will be almost unplayable at first due to all the inevitably broken over the top shit they’re going to add. They’re probably going release a patch quickly, but there will be hordes of degenerate gankers finding every way imaginable to abuse the new broken shit.

@@Bad_Doctor I meant more so in regards to new weapons or spells at play, plenty of nice fashion too for more unique builds. Regrettably as much as I I'm excited for new build opportunities I am also wary of unbalanced mess we will see as is tradition with every souls title dlc.

@@binis6452 I’d hope it’s as expansive as it appears. If we get at least one new spell for each of the categories I’d be happy and say DLC is worth it. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the case, and they might even add new subcategories entirely. I’d especially like new spells and weapons that inflict deathblight. Other than that, I’d like some real quality of life improvements. They haven’t fixed the garbage GS and CGS hyperarmor and spinning slash true combo yet. When 1.10 came out I figured they’d do something quick to balance that braindead shit and it’s been over half a year.

Black Dumpling, Corhyn’s Robe, Zamor Gauntlets + Greaves. Gives you a whole 18.00 absorption IIRC, add a point or two to endurance to light roll
